Location perfect for burgos cathedral...staff fantastic.....room excellent. Think premier inn but smaller. Friendlier. Cleaner more helpful. Air conditioned. Great shower heater towel rail comfortable bed and quiet. I wish every hotel was as great as this one. Excellent location. Newly renovated so everything was new and clean. The bar below (doubling as the reception desk) served very good pinchos (tapas) and vinos. A convenient place to start our trek in the Camino de Santiago.
all reviews » Small cosy hotel perfectly located. The funny thing was that there was a rapas bar downstairs and the barmen was also a receptionist! :) the breakfast costed 3€ (fresh orange juse, coffe and a croissant). It's new hotel, it means all is good. Excelent location, beside cathedral, other tourists points and very near of wine bars and restaurants. I'm sure that I should come again. The food in the Restaurant was good value for money. The location is very near the Catherdral and centrally located. The rooms were spacious for 2 people and clean. Nice clean modern rooms in a central location at a bargain price. We'd stay here again. Burgos itself is a lovely place to spend a couple of relaxing days. Very friendly ,clean,good location ,specially Mr Koldo did all what we asked. We satisfied very much, and we come back again next chance. Great location, right in the centre of the plaza. Location. in the middle of the town. personel friendly. i could enter the roon earlier than foreseen (by the way 3pm is ridiculously late). room was clean, when i came. The location. Our room overlooked the street leading to the cathedral. Thankfully, it is closed to road traffic except in the early morning. Nevertheless, there was noise from revelers in the street late at night. The double windows did an excellent job of shutting out the noise. But what if it were a hot summer night?. There were no hairdrair in the room. The hotel is lokated on a pedestrian street so no access if you go by car. Outside the door the sign said that Reception was on the first floor. We brought our luggages to the first floor only to find out nobody was there. so we go down to where the restaurant was and we found out that the Reception IS IN THE RESTAURANT. Nothing special. Parking down in the basement with fee, hard if you have a lot of luggage with no drop off zone. No kettle. Very small room. They charged me for left luggage upon arrival and upon departure; the stuff didn't offer any meals (I should have asked about them myself, but I didn't bother if they didn't); they wanted to charge me something extra, but they didn't know what exactly it was, so they didn't do it at the end (???). Unable to park close to the hotel although it wasn't a problem. We arrived at 8:00 in the morning... and the girl at the front desk didn't want to keep our luggage until we could check in (at 3:00 PM) because she feared that we were pilgrims on the Compostella road. I understand that they fear bed bugs... but we were NOT pilgrims and I'd gladly wished she asked us!. Very difficult to find and a lack of directions for same. This hotel is in a pedestian area! A few simple instructions would have saved two hours of seaching. Lack of facilities (as in all Spanish hotels?) such as tea and coffee making in room. Difficulty of arriving by car (pedestrianised and one way systems) and extraordinarily expensive overnight municipal parking even with hotel discount - another 12 euros!. Rooms were small. Even though website said disabled facilities had to take wheelchair apart to get out of lift, couldn't get it into room. There was no breakfast either. If you say you have disabled facilities this should mean anyone with any disability can use your hotel. How are people supposed to know if suitable. Hard to find, not good English spoken to explain how to get there, parking is expensive and remote they know it is 12e to park but they don't tell you that, till you check in. We could not find it, called, parked under the Plaza Mayor and got out and walked around, it is one block behind the plaza, to the left, look for the "Arches". Nowhere to put your suitcase. Tiny room. It was not really clean, soap and shampoo packages of former guests still in shower, and also some hairs. Corners in the room dusty and somewhat dirty. Small room small bed. The room was a bit smelly; caused by the bathroom equipment, pipes etc. Wi-fi was problematic. Unfriendly staff. Mine was a very bad experience. The attitude of management and staff to customers was one of contempt. Noisy beds. room was really very small, you nearly couldn't move. the temperature of the water in the shower could not be regulated and was too hot to shower. the room looked like a youth hostel not a three stars hotel. the rests of toothpaste remained in the sink after the first morning. the bathroom also very small with absolutely ni space to store anything. No reception desk. No glasses provided for teeth brushing. Small rooms. Poor door keys.
