1) Wonderful staff - Alex was great but George was amazing - both really helpful and kind. Anything in their porwer will be done for your convenince stay.
2) Hostel description states that there are no hairdriers, but there actually is. Also, if you need George would bring you an iron. - something other places would normally charge for.

A really small business with only about 8 rooms. Really friendly staff, very welcoming and explained everything when we got there. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. The room had double glazed doors so there was hardly any street noise and the building itself is gorgeous! It's walking distance to La Sagrada Familia and just about walking distance to Las Ramblas and then onto the beach. It's also very close to Tetuan metro stop. There was no breakfast as it's a hostel but there are.
Jose was awesome! He was the best part of the stay. Definitely do advanced tickets to Sagrada Familia with Jose. Otherwise, the wait is 1+ hour to buy tickets and no wait if you come with tickets. The hotel is easy walking distance to Sagrada Familia. We originally booked a non-balcony room and turns out that room only has a window (no balcony) to an alley. Not great but we knew this going into it. They upgraded us on night two to a room with a balcony room #3...huge score. If I did it o.
We paid a little extra for the room with a terrace and it was worth
every penny as it got plenty of sun in the afternoon! Alex and the other
staff were exceptional and provided maps, directions, contact phone
number and a hair dryer- nothing was too much! Only a 10-15 min walk to
sagrada familia and 15-20 to the rambles (5 euros in a taxi at night
time). Yes the rooms are small but the location and cleanliness make up
for this! Would definitely go back.
The location is only 7-10 mins of slow walking from Metro Tetuan.

Staffs could not speak English, but trying their best to accommodate to our requests.
Staffs were honest and reliable too as we left one of our hand phone in the room after check out and they keep it for us until we collect it back.

The location was good, the staff superfriendly and helpfull with everything. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable and also the private bathroom was perfectly clean, a big plus! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Barcelona! Thank you HBD :).

Hostalin Barcelona Diputación was a great choice for a few days in Barcelona prior to a cruise. It's quite small, but the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated and the location provides one with a very good sense of Barcelona's vibrant street life.

Очень отзывчивый персонал! Дали карту города, показали основные достопримечательности, рассказали куда идти. Принесли вентилятор в номер (кондиционера не было), помогли разобраться с плохим сигналом wi-fi. В этом плане ребятам - респект.
Но номер подойдет только тем - кто собирается в хостеле только ночевать. Находится там проблемно, так как номера очень маленькие, холодильника нет, вещи особо положить некуда.
Очень удобное положение - до всего можно дойти пешком (даже нужно, так как торопиться.
The place was really clean.
It's not what I didn't like but something to mention:
1) Walls are thin, but this is the case for most hostels and hotels in Barcelona. There are only 8 rooms in the hostel so it was actually really quite - no noise at all.
The lift up to the hostel was tiny - felt like a coffin!! Just big enough for a person and a bag, we only used it once to get up with luggage and once to come down! The room smelt of cigarettes a couple of times, but cleared after a minute or so with the door open, and left no lasting smell on our clothes or bedding.
The shower had some drainage problem but they fixed it after our first night.
An English news channel would have been nice.

Noisy: you can hear the neighbours talking (especially at night), taking a shower, etcetera. However, this is the case for so many accommodations due to the usage of thin walls.
I liked everything about the property. No bad comments at all.

It was a lot smaller than I expected and the suitcases had to put on the bed as there was no room to unpack.

Номер очень маленький и душный: кровать, две тумбочки, и крючки на стенах. Но было похоже что номер новый: подводка под телевизор была, а самого телевизора не было.
Другой момент: вечером в холле здания видели стаи больших здоровых южных тараканов. На таких наступить боишься - могут унести. Но в номере их не видели.
The room was tiny (though this was correctly advertised), the lift was supertiny, the towels wouldn't dry overnight (that's never happened to me before!) so it was a bit weird to 'dry' yourself after a shower with a wet-ish towel.
