This hotel is situated in a great location. It is close to public transportation and excellent shopping area. But it is also within walking distance to the major attractions of Barcelona. The rooms are clean and comfortable and its family room is prefect for our family of four. Highly recommended!. The room was marvellous, comfortable, nicely furnished. Serviceincluded everything from free crystal to free internet access, freesauna and free gym (free - no fees). The common areas were adequate,even though we didn't use them much. The staff was very polite, helpfuland friendly.

If the rooms could have been slightly bigger ....the massive construction work in the street outside but this will disappear one day. noise seemed to travel quite easily around the hotel - probably due to the atriums that most of the rooms look onto. finding out the breakfast is 20 euros per head is a shock not worth experiencing!. For temporary reason, the constructon work outside the hotel makes taxi access a bit more difficult. Smell in the corridor was overwhelming (cleaning fluids?). Room was notcleaned until around 4pm on the first day.The noise from the street and the street infront of the hotel is not accessible by taxi so it is difficult with laggage to enter the hotel. i asked for an external room when booking but was given a room facing on to a small courtyard. The reception guys need to have english language skills. Since there is construction in front and beside of hotel due to TMB rails, please mention sign boards for information to guide way to access Hotel. Customer cannot off load baggages infront of hotel. Internet didn't work one whole night due to breakage of network. we had some noise from the metro trains but it was bearable. Hardest beds in the Mediterranean. Breakfast not included which for the price you are charging, should really be included. Also the gym faciliites are just basic.I was not offered help with my bag, the chek in lady was very rude, i was not informed of services in the hotel such as gym etc. Travelling alone I had a single room and it was very small and not very comfortable. I would not have a ssingle room in this hotel again. The service was slow, the bar did not stay open past 12.30 at night, theconstruction outside made it impossible to pull up at the door withheavy luggage, restaurant and terrace facilities were uncomfortable anddated, the business centre consisted of two computers and overall thehotel was uninspiring and uninteresting and gave the impression most ofthe time of being very empty.
