Front desk and concierge were both amazing and restaurant recommendations were very good Well suited for tourists. Location for shopping and food was perfect.

Breakfast seemed understaffed and waiters looked understandably hurried, not in line with the calm atmosphere

Wonderful hotel. Staffs were very kind and ready to respond questions anytime. Restaurant staffs were also nice, too. I will come back again.

The staff were friendly as soon as we walked into the hotel. The location is great for exploring the city and its facilities are excellent. Very comfortable and clean.

Well designed and elegant modern space within an older building. Room was lovely and well laid out. Particularly liked fingerprint room access.

More lighting at sink is required to allow both sides of the face to be lit. An additional outlet at the bed would be welcome for recharging phones, iPads, computers.

The hotel is fabulous! We loved the executive suite - room was spacious, quiet, elegant. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. We felt very pampered.We were on the 4th floor & it was very quiet (& we're sensitive to light & noise.) Atrium was delightful for breakfast.

I would have liked breakfast to have been included.

I liked the location, the design and the friendly helpful staff. The room was large, the bed comfortable, the separate doonas a great idea. We had a lovely view over the back garden.

The food was disappointing.

- Excellent Breakfast menu - Location - is best in Barcelona, you cannot find better located hotel. Period. - Service: 10/10 - Excellent for shopping - located next to main shopping street (next to Louis Vuitton, Channel boutiques).

Little dark, - can be a problem for elder, or poor visioned

Front door staff was amazing, with service "designed in" and starting with the greeting and each exit or return. Roof deck was a great way to end each day, before supper.

Only negative was that the windows could be better insulated to block out street noise. Not a big deal or huge complaint--but would improve the experience.

The Alma Hotel is beautifully decorated with a relaxing upstairs terrasse. The friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. I even received a beautiful bottle of cava and some chocolates on my birthday. This was such a suprise and a real treat.

Great service and location. Large comfortable rooms give a feeling of space. Plenty of storage. Quiet garden. Comfortable beds and rooms on back v quiet. Rooftop terrace and bar with stunning views.

No door on bathroom - awkward if sharing with a friend rather then partner. No other negatives.

The location was brilliant, loved the interior décor of the hotel but most of all, the staff were sensational in every way; so helpful, friendly and desperate to assist you in any way possible. Great restaurant recommendations, great advice on jogging routes, assistance in booking venues etc. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Location, staff always helpful, garden pleasant oasis, view of Gaudi's roof from our room and huge shower beats using the usual shower small shower cubicle.

Dark subdued lighting especially on stairs up into the hotel a little worrying.

So many good things about this hotel. I loved the finger print reader instead of a key (optional). I loved the design of the room; quite Japanese. It made the area feel really spacious. The pillows and duvet were nothing short of heaven. The shower was superb. The shower products were too. The chair provided in the room was a joy to sit in (I know, that does sound odd but it's true). I love the fact that they give you free water and some soft drinks in your fridge every day. The staff were excellent. Super location.

The bar was a complete let-down. The chairs looked uncomfortable, the lighting was all wrong and my Mojito was, by far, the worst of all those that I'd bought in Barcelona. They don't provide a full-length mirror in the room which is an odd omission because it's so easy to fix. I felt the Claris rooftop pool and bar are a real bonus that this hotel lacks (particularly given what I've said about this bar).

Everything at this hotel is just about perfect. It is a great location for seeing Barcelona. It is definitely luxury. Breakfast buffet is excellent but should be at 25 euros per person but you don't need anything else until dinner!

Secure underground parking is 30 euros per night but is necessary and is about 200 yards from hotel which is not great especially when raining. You can briefly stop outside hotel to unload bags on arrival.

Loved the ambience. The rooms were miminalistic but comfortable and lots of places to put things. The bathroom was huge, the rooms quiet. Loved the fingerprint entry - no worries about losing a key! Loved the bar dining areas and outdoor area. Staff were very professional Close to everything.

No tea or coffee making facility and to get a tea or coffee it costs!

I have back and neck problems so a good quality mattress and pillow is always a problem when I travel... But not at this hotel! Those were Perfect! No backpain, no headache! Loved the backyard! very quiet and peaceful. The location was terrific. Three minutes to Casa Mila, city tour bus stop, 20 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia to name but a few. As for shopping lovers this hotel's location just couldn't be better. A minute walking distance from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel... This is a district for high end shopping. Eating out was easy. So many nice cafes and restaurants with good quality and reasonable prices.

There were some problems with Wi Fi. Also could have installed a door in the bathroom (I am an early bird and my husband loves to sleep). But that was really not a big problem.

The staff are fantastic. The rooms large and well appointed. The location is superb. This is a first class hotel.

Front rooms are very noisy with street traffic. Avoid them at all costs.

The Alma Hotel is a perfect place to stay in Barcelona for the fist time. Because the location of the hotel is great, it is near two main streets Rambla and the shopping street Gracia. And you can reach by foot almost all the places of the interest. Plus there many cosy and fashionable bars, cafes and restaurants just near the hotel. The staff are very friendly are ready to help at any time. The restaurants and bars that they adviced to us were amazing. The breakfast was tasty and it is nice to eat outside on a nice and typical barcelona terrace. The room was clean, stylish and rather big. And the thing i liked that you don't need a key to enter your room, you do it with your fingerprints.

My partner and I loved the design the location and the very friendly staff.

Spa was under repair for our stay of 3 days so we could not use the gym,Hamam and pool.

I travel in Europe at least once a year. I have never ever been received with such friendly and polite professionalism. This is the most excellent staff I have ever encountered. They were energetic and their language proficiency was impressive. Well done Alma Barcelona. My low expectation of guest treatment borne out of my frequent and previous travels to Europe were unfounded! I did not interact with one staff member who seemed sullen, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. My wife decided to stay an extra night. We know were we will be staying when we are back in Barcelona.

We did not have even one negative experience during our stay!

The location was great, right in the centre of the main shopping area. The service was exceptional; possibly the best I have ever experienced. The design and facilities of the hospital was very cool but also comfortable

a small niggle but the breakfast was a bit pricey. I think this puts people off eating other meals in the hotel- I was pleasantly suprised when I had lunch and found it quite reasonable

Location, size of bed, fitness room!

Short staffed so inefficient and staff having to double up! Too dark have tried to hard to be ultra modern and high tech, limited menu, only one restaurant nice facilities in the spa but wasted people would have used a spa more then they use the current facilities!
