The serenity of the Altea Hills and the glorious sea views, perfect for a relaxing get-away. The bathrooms are great, loved the spa bath. Very clean and comfortable Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, not just in the foyer or your room. Also allows for more than one device. Poolside internet surfing was great. Stunning internal architecture and furniture. Amazing waterfall pool complex. As it was our 30th Anniversary they upgraded us to one of their best suites on the top floor with jacuzzi bath and huge balcony with sea views!.
all reviews » The price-quality relation is really good, we received a nice upgrade and had a lovely view to the sea. The breakfast is very diverse and good quality. The room was clean and everything there what you need. The style of the hotel and furnishings, large rooms and bathrooms, helpful and friendly staff, pool area, and location. Fantastic setting up in the hills. Rooms beautifully appointed. Reception staff very friendly. Very confortable apartments with lots of space. Quiet cation near the sea side. Being up in the mountains means you are away from shops and restaurants. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and lunch next door. Reasonably priced meals, nothing fancy but good enough. Its in the middle of nowhere - a car is essential! its a long walk down to the beach and an almost impossible one back up the hill! No shops or restaurants close by. No bus service. You need to get taxis everywhere. There was a smell in the bathroom which was for 2 nights not a problem if I would stay longer I would have complaint. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Hate coffee/drinks machine in breakfast room, much preferred former system. A shame that the shower area had signs of mold. the cafe menu needs more choice on snacks etc. I would have liked a kettle and cups in the room for morning coffee, I became allergic to air conditioning which may suggest filters need replacing ?. Kitchen was too small. Breakfast,egg's not cooked properly and like the rest of the hot food, it was COLD!!. Not enough pillows in the room. The whole and the stains in my bedclothes. Finding other people's hair on the floor in my room. Finding your way around in this big facility can be irritating an inconvencient. No basic facilities in the room, like a kettle. Cleaning team made the bed and changed the towels but didn't sweep or clean. Facilities weren't available without extra charge and they closed the bar at 7pm because we weren't in high season. Additional charges were expensive and limited time frames ie no discount for residents staying kidsclub was nonexistent no supermarket on site having to clean kitchen when u paid 125 euros nite paying extra for gym n spa out of order 17 euros for tennis court not good. No receptionist when we arrived. The room was up a lift, along a bridge then up another lift and very vague instructions to locate it were given. The bar was closed and many areas were in darkness. Generally the hotel had an end of season feel to it and the surrounding area was mainly shut. The main town is a 10 minute drive away. Food nothing was open you had to pay to go in the indoor pool. Very noisy.
