  We stayed in this hotel just for one night. The room 502 was not big but clean and quiet. It had an a/c which is needed in summer. It was a simple room with two beds for 40€. Excellent price for a night mid August in Alicante if you need just a bed&shower. The hotel is very well located. - The hotel was perfectly placed very close to the harb... what people say » our and was quiet. We had room 505 which seemed to have the only balcony. This faced the castle. All staff were very helpful and the hotel was spotless. I would return to this hotel.

  I the heart of cafe culture. Lovely people on reception desk unfortunately it was our fault that our Spanish was not good. Had a little blip sorting out parking but a Danish guest helped us out . I was the first time in one star hotel, and was surprised, how comfortable it might be (and cheap of course). I would recommend it for staying without children, because rooms are rather small.

  The Hostal Campoy is not luxurious, nor does it pretend to be. But if you want a basic, en suite room in central Alicante at a very good price then this place is unbeatable. The staff, who did not seem to speak any English, were nevertheless extremely friendly and welcoming. Staff only spoke Spanish but there were brilliant and always available at the desk 24 hours. Bed was good and all facilities were to a good standard with great free wifi. Impressed for the money.   The 24 hour staffed reception was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, had a small balcony and the bath with shower was fine. The views of nearby streets was good, as I was on the 6th floor. It's close to good bars, restaurants, cafes and many shops. Also close to the train station and buses run from the end of the road.
