  We stayed at the apartment located in the Mercat del Born area, the nicest neighborhood in the centre of Barcelona. Filled with bars, restaurants and graphic alleys to stroll. The Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Modernista Barcelona with the Gaudi masterpieces and Joan Miro art, the plazas and markets, Roman ruins, the parks, waterfront and mountains, all very accessible with the excellent metro system and fantastic tourist bus made our 5 day trip one of the most interesting holidays I have ever had.   Upon arrival the Receptionist explained absolutely everything we needed to know: he also helped us with our luggage to the room on the 5th Floor! Excellent customer service! : ) The location is superb just a few streets away from Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia (you can even walk to Placa de Catalunya then down to the harbour in 30... what people say » minutes! : ) There is a Spar 4-5 units down from the hotel which was very cheap compared to other markets (we purchased 6 bottles of San Miguel for j - We traveled four of us, I am 19 year old son and two friends from 6 to 14 May. From the airport is very convenient to get to the hotel, only one mode of transport to the subway station Passeig de Gracia (traveling by train, the train to go to Barcelona with the metro, so it's very convenient). Near the hotel there is a great market for the products. Just a lot of coffee (we liked the cafe, located 4 meters from the hotel, on the same side of the street as the hotel).
