The landscaped garden boasts a great variety of flora and fauna as well as an attractive rock pool. Marvel at many indigenous art pieces, exhibited throughout the lodge. The owner has done a nice job with the rooms - they are very cozy. He also saved us from an outrageous cab fare. The owner will pick you up, he is only 5 minutes from the airport. However, you must call after you arrive. We did not have a cell phone so we opted for a cab. MAKE SURE you get a taxi at the designated area or you may be in danger!! - Anonymous

It is very close to the airport and is nicely looked after. The rooms are clean and got floor heating. You can get lift to the nearest restaurants at around 50 ZAR per way which is cheaper than taxi. - Anonymous

Next to a comprehensive bar- and wine list, Chamonix Guest Lodge features an extensive breakfast menu and, during low season, a set dinner menu. Enjoy, on warm summer days, breakfast on the patio. During high season, guests can make use of a shuttle service to a number of restaurants in the area.

Please note: If booking for a one night stay, full payment will be deducted on the day of booking and is non-refundable. Airport transfers are charged per transfer for a maximum of 2 persons.

Information about the area

Set in the country side, yet still close to the cities of Johannesburg and Pretoria, Chamonix Guest Lodge has easy access to all motorways. Visit one of the many tourist attractions nearby, including Rietvlei Nature Reserve and 2 of Africa’s biggest shopping centres – the East Rand Mall and Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Room information details

All rooms are luxuriously decorated and feature numerous state-of-the-art amenities. Soft wool carpets with under floor heating, ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes are standard features. Named after grape varieties grown in South Africa, all rooms provide guests with a comfortable retreat after a busy day.

Travelling information

Coming from O R Tambo International Airport drive along the R 21 towards Pretoria and after about 6 km take the Pomona turn off. Turn left into Pomona Road and turn right again after about 100 m into Koppie Road. Follow Koppie Road until the 4 way stop and turn right into Tugela Street. Drive through the security gate, and follow Tugela Street until you find us after about 500 m on the left hand side.

Cancellation Policy	If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 75 percent of the first night will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy	All children are welcome. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy	50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
VAT and city/tourist taxes	14 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. 1 % city/tourist tax per person per night is included.
Internet	Wi-fi is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.
Meal Plan	Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.
Parking	Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed).
Pets	Pets are not allowed.
