The comfort of the bed, pleasent and modern room, bathroom clean and bright. The breakfast is perfect, complete for a quick start of day and the fact that is included with the price of the night is very convenient. I was helped quickly when I checked in and all the staff were very friendly also a special thanks to the Butcher and Block for accommodating me and my friends with a late supper.

Not easy to get there. Even if we mark in GPS (the coordinates provided by the hotel has to be corrected), it shows the directions till the highway, not exactly the at the door inside the condominium..I mean, too complicated. Some rooms doesn't have TV remote... and no variety of channels. As the restaurant (Butcher block?)was closed (public holiday), we ordered meals from one of the restaurants listed (Ocean Basket) . The food was terrible. I am sure you (Holiday Inn) create a lot of business for them and you should insist on better quality for your clients. A bit far from the Sandton City for shopping. If you from out of town it is not that easy to find it. Some signage on the road would help. It wasn't in Sandton as we expected.A bit far from everything. If you don't have a car the only option to get there is by taxi and there is nothing interesting at walking distance. it took 2hours for the house keeper to finish cleaning my room. You cannot take a walk. Hotel is barricaded like a prison. Restaurant (outside) was pathetic!!!!!. Bed too small lengthwise. No Halal Food in the Hotel ...I need to order Halal food by delivery. 1.To be woken up at 9am and asked when was I leaving . 2.The room access was deactivated before 11am, while i was having breakfast. No pool. I got lost to the the hotel because the entrance is not clearly visible. There are no signs directing guests to the reception. Cleaning staff very disappointed with their attitude. shower only had warm water...its winter and we had to have a luke warm water shower. the drainage in teh shower was very poor. After showering we stood in ankle deep water. breakfast was terrible. teh worst i've ever had a hotel! no selction and no attempt made to assist special dietry requirements despite making the request at the time of booking. bed was a bit small. Non availability of swimming pool. Some of the staff members not friends No choice on breakfast. Getting in and out of the facility was a nightmare, the guards at the gate were a joke and it is most inconvenient getting to and from the hotel. Over-priced for facilities offered. Generally very unhappy with the service. The hotel was overbooked. I did not get the rooms that I had booked and that to me is very poor service. tv channels poor for the accomodation price. food not very good. For the price, the hotel was not what one would expect of holiday inn standards. It was only the brand that attracted me to this hotel however it was very disappointing, especially with regards to the services offered. The hotel room was tiny. I do understand that this particular hotel is an express hotel, however this does not qualify for poor standards. Protea hotels have much more to offer for the price and I would definitly choose them over holiday inn for future visits.
