The comfort and the availability of personnel in times of need. I was also impressed by the friendly attitude of the attendants. spacious rooms and a sense of safety in this part of otherwise security challenged Joburg, South Africa. The hotel offered everything which is needed when staying away from home. It was extremely comfortable and very good value. the privacy. the fact that I even manage to get a room after all the hassle. Also the duty manager Chantal did sort out the booking on your behalf.I would have liked the hotel to have some snacks on sale or a vending machine om the premise. I would have also liked more assistance with a wider selection of tour operators. I can not think of anything I didn't like. For the price paid the room was extremely avrage - I could pay the same and if space stayed at the Protea Wanderers where the rooms are far superior to yours. Sheets were dirty. everything was very old and cheap. DON Sandton 1 maybe a 3 star accommodation because of the location but in Europe it would not get more than 1-2 stars.no breakfast facility at The Don IV, must pay at next hotel.
