We absolutely LOVED everything about the apartment...location, staff inparticular "Solly"at the reception. He was very helpful in assisting us with whatever help we wanted. Sunstays lagoon is surely a place id recommend to everyone visiting Cape Town. Thank you letsbookhotel.com for keeping such hotel apartments in your list :) Tumbs up :). We were fortunate to have some ocean view, and the staff was very accommodative of us especially that we moved crockery from one room to the other as we had booked two apartments. The facilities were excelllent although we did not explore all of them, but it is definitely worth visiting again.
all reviews » Had no idea what Lagoon stay looked liked till we arrived. was rather surprised. Booked room without Seaview, even though in second block could still see the beach. It was clean and comfortable. And for the price I was impressed. will book again. Everything was perfect staff was friendly location was perfect the apartment was the Best I myself personally will recommended this too all my friends and family too come and stay at the Lagoon Apartment.... Staff at reception was very helpful and friendly, our apartment was clean and comfortable, we had safe parking for our vehicle, the apartments are right on the beach and close to the city and Canal Walk. I liked everything about sunstays' the beachfront, apartment was nice and neat my family enjoyed most of sunstays accommodation and wish to have another reservation again in september 2014. Position for beach,Waterfront & shopping at Canal Walk Views of beach ,pool &restaurant on site Unit was nice even tho not sea view, was fine with half view Clean & comfortable. The view and spacious bedrooms.the comfort of the apartment was five star.we love every second spend in the apartment. We love it we definitely be back with more friends and family. The BEST value for money for staying in Cape Town. Next to the beach, restaurant downstairs, good parking, and the apartments are excellent. Daily cleaning was good. Everything was good and for the price, I think it's the BEST value you can get in Cape Town: clean, spacious, safe, and daily cleaning staff. Note: you need a car. But I would say driving through the neighbourhood at night was a bit concerning but nothing bad happened. in second bedroom only the one single bed was uncomfortable. What I did like was on our level 1 the passage floor was sticky and dirty for the complete duration of our stay... The cleaning staff should wakeup... We were in an apartment for four but there were only two chairs on the balcony and some of the cutlery were missing. Limited TV in inclement weather Some noise from corridor but minimal. Nothing. Everythings was good here. Nothing. No Cartoon channel for the kids ,also would have been nice if any of the 3 pools were warmer and catered for kiddies to splash in ( esp 2 and 3 yr olds) a small shelter to avoid the winds at the pool decks would be awesome too. During our stay of 4 days, there were 2 functions at the hotel's restaurant - this was very noisy and disturbing, as we wanted to have a relaxing and quite holiday. The dishes were not very clean, and I had to wash everything before using it. I felt the bathrooms could be cleaned up better each day. leaving the place because i liked it so much. Main bedroom needs a shower not only a bath tab. Free Internet access ... need to get a different password every single day (not professional). For the normal South-African things to do in Cape town are to expensive and is more foreingner friendly. Discounted rates should be given to South-Africans with a valid SA ID documant for all South-Africans to see their country. Only 2 chairs outside and pots and pans very limited. There was a mouse in our apartment,was freaky n scary 4 da girls. nothing. There was nothing we did not like. 2nd bedroom faced back onto main hallway so curtains had to be kept drawn at all times which meant room was very dark - a little out of the way from main tourist areas had to get taxi's to shopping areas. Furniture was old, bit out of town, no shopes nearby. Nothing. Poor Room Service The dont change the bedding and towels daily, only after 7 days. Furniture was old school. N/A. Internet for a charge. No TV in the bedrooms. The beach was quite windy, but this was quite fun for us!. Nothing. N/A. We do believe that house keeping ( which were not expected on a short stay) was responsible for a missing pair of earings :(. Only one bathroom with shower. corridors very noisy. no comment. Nothing. Complex was so big you need to print a map of interior to find your way around . We did not like the fact that we did not have hot water for the night. wifi not free.
