My mother and I stayed at this hotel which is very well situated close to the main street. It's neat and very clean in the rooms and there's a machine with hot and cold water in the corridor. Alexandra & Co. in the reception were very helpful and considerate and did a great job!. The Location is perfect for seeing St. Petersburg. The breakfast is really good. The staff speak English and are very helpful. Clean and comfortable. Fridge in the room and a water cooler in the hallway where you can get hot or cold water 24/7. Wifi in the room.
all reviews » Excellent location, very close to the Nevsky pr., the city's main avenue, and important sites like the church of the spilled blood and Kazan cathedral. The staff is very kind (they're always ready to help) and the breakfast is also very good. very polite staff trying to help even though not all of them speak well english. Location is good and just a 15 minutes walk to the hermitage. They arranged a taxi for me to go to the airport (just 600rub). Also hot and cold water provided. All the girls on reception could speak reasonable English and were very helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room clean & the shower hot. The location is close enough to Nevsky Prospect to walk, yet far enough to be peaceful. Good breakfast, close to Nevsky Prospect and all attractions. location within the centre shower is ok. Our room was on the 4th floor and there was some noise from the street because we needed to have a window open. Also noise from a few neighbours on the hotel some nights! Good idea to bring ear plugs;0) It would probably be less noisy with a room to the yard. The buffet was ok but nothing special. The kitchen staff could definitely learn something from the staff in the reception considering the service, - and we don't have very high expectations!. The traffic noise is pretty bad, all hours of the day and night. nothing to complain. hotel reception on second floor and of a building which looks residential but not a real issue. The individual boiler held just enough water for 2 showers before it needed to reheat. As my girlfriend insists on showering first, the tail end of mine tended to cool. But this is a better system than one boiler for the whole hotel. An extremely small number of tables in the restaurant, where breakfast is served Too small TV in the room. The dining room is too small, probably, for high season only. Our room overlooked the street and it was quite noisy if we open window. Hot water comes from water heater and thus should be used carefully not to be stuck in the shower with only cold water left. Water from boiler is too hot, need to be careful!. The only thing is that we were not allowed to stay at the room before the 14-00 eventhough it was empty and technically we were checked in already. the shower (bad faucet). Small tv set inthe room/. some upgrade of room facilities would be welcome. Breakfast. A few rooms have aircondition. There is a flash heater in each room for hot water. After the usage, time is needed to heat the water. Mosquitoes. Elevator. It works but is too little. Breakfast room : not enough tables. Living room sub utilized. Small tv, There was not a free airport shuttle as stated in Advertisement. In fact the receptionist tried to sell me a cab ride to the airport at twice the price of me calling the cab company myself. Also there was not 24hr staff support. I couldn't even get a wakeup call because it was to early for the receptionist to wakeup and call. The Entrance The carpet on the stairs. Small lift, Tv to small for size of the room. most members of the staff don't speak english (pretty common in Russia).
