Great location, easy to find as it as just behind the Kazan Church. Good bars and restaurants with a variety of different cuisines nearby. Main sights were within easy walking distance (10 -15 minutes) The metro station was also 10 minutes away. Fortunately for us there were a number of people who could understand English both in the hotel and restaurants as our Russian language is nil. Overall great hotel and we would visit St Petersburg again.
all reviews » The otel design is unique. Paintings everywhere is a very good idea. Staff is friendly. Location is perfect, just near to the Kazan Kathedral, every important place of St.Pet. is on a wailikng distance and Nevski Street is nearby. Contrary to some negative comments, my room was silent. Perfect cost/quality ratio, good place going to St.Pet as 1-2 people. I took the night train from Moscow when I went to St. Petersburg. This hotel has a small shower room and they let us shower even before checking in. Also, you can't ask for a better location. And the staff were very friendly and helping. They even helped with phone calls as I can't speak Russian. Highly recommend the hotel! It is the best place for stay to see historical St. Petersburg outside the hotel and inside as well, since the hotel has its museum and it looks like museum itself. Staff are friendly. Rooms are high- ceilinged and clean, well decorated. Wonderful location. Friendly staff and quirky ambience. Good buffet breakfast (if a little repetitive). Amazing original artworks everywhere. This is a boutique hotel, but also wonderful and decrative lounch is you entertain friends. Bang in the City Centre. The location of the hotel is perfect, two minutes walk to Nevsky ave. There are a lot of attractons, restaurants and shops over the hotel. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Very close to the center of the city. - No refrigerator at room - No slippers at room - Smoking is no allowed at rooms. There was no hairdryer and the bed wasn't that great. It wasn't bad, but still didn't feel very comfortable. Be aware that there is no elevator in the building and you bring your baggage 3 floors up. Also there is night club near the hotel, might be noisy at weekend nights. The no smoking rule was barely enforced. In fact, the breakfast cook was rarely without a lit cigarette! Bed was uncomfortable - inexpensive IKEA mattress insubstantial for hotel use. Nothing except a few flights of shallow broad stars to the Hotel premises. We came in St.P. Just for a weekend to visit friends. For us the hotel was not the most important thing. But I can say what I paid attention to the breakfast. The breakfast is poor! U can find just fried eggs as i remember. And also rooms. Rooms are good, but staying should cost less. Rooms are not good for the amount we paid for it. 2 floors up dismal staircase,. Fridge in Studio room did not work. Provided a kettle but no tea or coffee or cups in room. Mind you we did not ask!. very modest breakfast. The room I occupied was not very comfortable, especially the bathroom and the bed. - thin door between our and neighboring room. perhaps going up and down stairs but frankly not a problem. Hotel uses a disreputable taxi company, so ask for an official taxi if you absolutely need to call one. sachets of shampoo room hot and noise from street. The weather was hot and the roo s hotter. No fans were available and it was hard to sleep. The breakfast was not chilled at all so drinks were hot as was other items. Reception up 3 flights of stairs without lift or assistance for bags Limited bar service. Room facilities (air conditioner, amenities ) and breakfast could be better.. Very poor breakfast. No air condition in the rooms. No electronic locks in doors. Double bed in my room is 2 small beds stick up together. No drink water in the room - only in bar. Music club nearby - music was very annoying half of a night. Too much noise in the middle of the night from the bar on the ground floor.
