To be honest we did not stay overnight at this hostel. We arrived in the morning, showered, left things, and took them on the next morning. In general, all that we saw was ok - the hostel is located near the center, adequate staff, clean shower and toilet -

It was a very pleasant stay at friends hostel. The one down side was that we had to move rooms after the first night due to noise on the bottom floor. Location: in the very centre, but inside a quiet yard, not in the first line of houses. Standing at the gates you can see both your hotel and the Kazansky cathedral - one of the most beatiful in the city. You don't need to use transport at all, unless going to suburbs.
