Small but comfy, very polite and helpful personnel. Positioning is very central and offers a lot of connections.

My room was next to the janitor's room and she was kinda loud at mornings waking me up

Very good value and excellent location just a few blocks from main square of Cluj. Comfortable, clean rooms. Very helpful staff- checked theater offerings and bus schedules. You can use their lap top in the reception area. Did not have breakfast.

The excellent location of this hotel right in the middle of the city's old center. The cleanliness and equipment of the rooms. The efficacity and amability of the staff. The good breakfast. The good price.

Very central. And at the same time very quiet place as the hotel building has an U shape and all rooms face the inner patio. An excellent restaurant, with very good prices. The restaurant was never busy and the serving was virtually instant. Rooms are very tall (~4m).

Being very quiet place, any noise downstairs might be disturbing for light sleepers. In one of our nights a bunch of young travelers were talking in the patio till very late in the night (1-2am). The hotel staff didn't seem to make any notice to them, so we just closed the window and didn't bother. We stayed in August and it was pretty hot. The hotel didn't have air conditioner, but I guess this is common for all hotels in this aria.

Hotel Transilvania is my no 1 favourite hotel in Cluj. Central location in the old town of Cluj. Friendly staff.

Excellent location at the centre of Kolozsvár. (approx 100 m from the main square). Parking facility of the hotel was a real asset in the centre. The rooms are nice and clean. Free WiFi. Staff speaks English and Hungarian.There is a restaurant in the courtyard, but closes at 10 PM, so not noisy at night. Recommended! :) / A hotel Kolozsvár központjában helyezkedik el, kb 100 méterre a Mátyás szobortól. Az ingyenes parkolás nagyon jó volt (a városban fizetős). A szobák tiszták, tágasak, van WiFi is. A személyzet beszél magyarul is. Az udvarban működik egy étterem is, de este 10-kor bezár, nem zavaró éjszaka.

Great location in the heart of Cluj, train station is a 15 min walk; very helpful staff; rooms are nice and clean

No air conditioning may be a problem during hot weather. We could not have lunch at the restaurant because they were too busy (even though only half the tables were occupied)

Nice clean rooms, comfortable and large. Absolutely love the central courtyard with the little water features, makes a lovely quiet place to enjoy a drink - the food is cheap but nothing special. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Hotel would be perfect if the rooms had air conditioning and the quality of the food improved.

- The restaurant is located in a square, in a middle of all the rooms. It means a lot of noise. I had a table of the Restaurant at less than one meter in front of my door. Cannot sleep without earplug. - No flap at the windows (lights was comming up)

rooms at food court service not 100% tub did not have plug so i had to ask for it - received it. the w.c. is a bit noisy old building - not 100% refurbished.

Central location and free secure parking for car behind hotel - quite a bonus. Good breakfast on weekday with good staff.

Dreadful lumpy sprung mattress. Bathroom had hole in wall. Bad breakfast on Sunday with poor service.

Basic hotel in the centre of town. The staff improves their attitude if you speak Romanian or Hungarian.

They say that they have wifi Internet, but it does not work e crept for the hotel laptop and they refuse to fix the problem. There is no concierge help for heavy luggage onto first floor rooms.
