Bucharest Hotels

The "Trianon Hotel" is really very good. When I stayed in Bucharest with my father, we both were more than satisfied. You should also try the hotel's restaurant, which offers very good menues. The quality always meets international standards regarding to taste and quality. Furthermore, the staff is always friendly and willing to help you with additional hints and information. We stayed at the Rin Grand for the New Years' Eve, we have being doing this two years now. Last year we stayed at the Novotel and it was really great, so we had high expectations. I spent 5 days in Bucharest and I chose this Hotel considering its location. On arrival the receptionist was kind and looked like she was waiting for us. The registration was speedy. The lift was like any other european lift, small but capatious for four people or two people and two suitcases. The room was spacious and comfortable, with AC, WIFI and radiator. We spent a night in this hotel last week. The Ramada Majestic's location could not be better, close to everything including the Parliament, parks and nightlife. Check-in was smooth although there is no porter service for luggage. The room was very spacious with a sofa and armchairs area, too… but extremely dark and it had a very bad view - we saw a blank white wall at the back of the hotel! Initially, I was hesitant to book this hotel as I read it was not exactly in Bucharest city center (about 6km away to be specific). That may only be a problem if you completely dislike walking. The Metro station is probably a 15 min walk from the hotel through the beautiful Herastrau park and it takes you down in dead central Bucharest. Taxi is always an option too. We did not stay there but enjoyed excellent meals at very reasonable prices in their 2nd level restaurant. And a very very friendly competent service. Passing by we saw some youth groups moving in and a recption team obviously not for stress loaden situations. - Anthony

I was very pleased with my stay at the Howard Johnson hotel. The location is great: right downtown, but not in an area that is overwhelmingly crowded. All of their services were extremely professional and the sushi bar is quite good. I felt very comfortable and it seemed as if all of their guests were enjoying their stay there. The staff is highly trained, very helpful and friendly. In a city that can be stressful, this is a great place to get away from it all. - Raymond

Modern hotel with great lobby bar. Rooms are excellent and typical of 4-5 star North American Hotels. Service was excellent. Pool is warm, pool restaurant was good too. Very central. The SAS is the premier business hotel here and I would not stay anywhere else. Beware of police...they were shaking down a lot of people in the bar district. - Robert

As a frequent business traveler to Bucharest I very much pefer this stylish but still neat place located conveniently downtown in the middle of the city. The rooms are individually designed and provide high international standards. Management and staff is very polite, kind and helpful. I feel a bit of home in Bucharest, when arriving at the Moxa. - Alistair
