Good location only 3-4 minutes' walk from Souq Waqif with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Beware of noise from rooftop equipment if you are on the top (10th) floor. There only ever seemed to be one receptionist on duty, which is not sufficient for a 140 room hotel.

The staff went out of their way to help in any way they could. any request was efficiently fulfilled. We had my 83 year old mother travelling with us and the staff made her feel welcome and helped her at all times. It was in the old part of town and close to the souks. We could walk to them and get a taste of life and the culture in Dohar. We would recommend the Kingsgate to anyone

We had organised a sightseeing tour through the hotel (Regency Tours) The tour did not pick us up and after waiting an hour and a half, the hotel rang them and told them that they were returning our money. Through the hotel we organised a private taxi at half the cost and had a lovely day seeing the sights of the city and a couple of the shopping malls. There needs to be more power points in the rooms.

asked for a taxi for the next morning ride to the airport and the next morning the other receptionist said she had no idea about it!

great hotel , could not find fault, recommend to all travelling on to Europe or a longer stay. Arrived at 5 am and they managed to give us 1 room and breakfast until the 2nd room became ready.

We needed a visa to be able to spend 20 hours in Doha, and Mr Adel helped us very much to receive the visa for our stay. The hotel was perfect, the location great, near to the Museum, The Corniche and the Souk.

We needed a taxi to the airport on the next morning, we were told that the price is fixed 40 Qatari reals, and we asked if on our way to the airport we can pick a couple of friends staying in a hotel nearby ( 5 min walk) on the road to the airport. We were told "yes". On the next day the staff drove us to the airport, but asked 50 reals

We made a reservation just a few minutes back before we check-in because there was a problem at our original hotel. So I made the booking online and we approached the reception to tell Doa (receptionist) that we just made the booking few minutes back. Accepting the fact that she still needs to wait our booking details from letsbookhotel.com she still catered us with a nice smile and warm greetings and asked us to wait until she receives our booking details. After that, she managed to check us in very quickly and efficiently. I would really love to stay again in this hotel.

Small things in the room that needs to be maintained (1) the bath tub stopper is detached already from its place and has rust on it (2) the TV remote has only 1 battery on it so we tried calling the maintenance and responded immediately (3) the room has only 1 person set-up for the amenities, but it's fine 'coz our booking was made on the same day.

Good location, easy for taxis and short drive from airport. Room clean and tidy, nice shower. Good view from 4th floor.

I arrived on an early flight from India and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I only had the one day in Doha, so it was nice to have a room with a sea view and also the kitchen facilities. The bed was comfortable, and while the bathroom looked a little worn out, everything was clean. I'd certainly stay here again if I am passing through Doha.

Great staff, location, free WIFI , rooms and every thing was great for a 3 * hotel it's almost 4 *., each rooms have a small kitchen it's studio type room.

No real parking at hotel you should park near the hotel.

Very good hotel, kind staff, great Wi-Fi, room kitchenette with microwave, tea, coffee were so great to enjoy in evenings in the room. Near souq waqif.

Bad traffic around, many constructions, far from city center shopping mall.. just 8 km but it may take more than 1hour due to traffic problems.

The staff were very nice: professional, kind, helpful. The location was convenient to many sites: Souk Waqif, the Islamic Museum, the Cornuche.

The parking lot is not really a parking lot. The hotel should cease to claim they have a parking lot.

Loved my 6 days at the Kingsgate. Friendly service, great city views (9th floor), breakfast is worth paying for. Will be my preferred hotel for future transits in Doha

Be warned, traffic around this place is dangerous, like in all of Doha. A reliable driver is recommended! No reflection on hotel, just the local driving habits!

The staff at the Kingsgate Hotel is excellent. I found the front desk manager, Shenuda to be particularly helpful. The rooms are lovely and if you're on the right side of the hotel, you'll have a lovely view of the Doha skyline. There is also a basic, but very nice gym/workout area complete with a tiny swimming pool. On the whole, I highly recommend the Kingsgate Hotel to any visiting Doha. It's affordable and an all around excellent hotel.

The Internet in the hotel is a bit slow and the breakfast needs improvement. The location is great if you need to be close to the airport, but it's a bit far from West Bay where most business and events take place. Still it's not a far taxi ride.

The location was perfect for my visit because I wanted to walk to the Islamic Museum, along the Cornice and to the Souk Waqif and get a feel for the city. The staff were excellent, in particular Ali who assisted with finding an atm for me and a sim card for my mobile phone the moment I arrived. I had a most enjoyable stay and will most definitely stay there on future visits and will recommend it to all who travel to Doha.

I didn't swim in the pool as it was very small and indoors. An outdoor pool would be a real asset as some of us do like to be in the sun when swimming.

This is a real value-for-money hotel. Staff are so helpful and the facilities are well maintained.

This place is clean and comfortable. Location is excellent being a small walk from souk waqif. The staff are friendly and the rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. The small kitchenette feature is a real plus giving you the flexibility to have light meals in when you wish.

The entrance to the hotel lets it down a lot, it's set on a side street with no allocated spot for cars dropping off or picking up guests. Like a lot if areas in Doha the side street doesn't look finished. This place is not fit for disabled people. The pool is tiny and at best described as a plunge pool and is located indoors. The hotel is in the same location where casual workers congregate in the mornings which can be quite intimidating to any early female risers.

The room is big enough,clean and comfortable.

First, the room Wafa gave is not the one I booked, I need to complain to get the room I booked. Restaurant is untidy as there are lots of small flies while you are eating and waiters are not offering coffee during breakfast unless you asked. The waiter (Amer) is very arrogant. Parking is bad.
