The staff was awesome! Raiza greeted us with a smile and surprised us with an upgrade when we checked in. Mary at the breakfast buffet was friendly and very helpful. Then Luis B. made sure we caught our chartered bus back to Fajardo on the morning we checked out! Luis even ran across the street to let us know our bus was here! We also loved the location, you can walk to Old San Juan, the beach, restaurants, shops, bars, all within an easy walk. Thank you for everything, we will be returning to .
all reviews » I like they way they treated us when the bathtub leaked when the shower was turned on, and the phone in the room did not work. They moved us to a different room when the above was brought to their attention. Before we checked out we booked a room for one night (10/27) on our way back home and was given the same rate when we check-in on 10/27 we discover they upgraded our rooms to suites at no extra charge. The free breakfast was excellent lots of choices. I would definately recommend this hotel. The fact that the hotel is just one block from the beach and on the main strip was awesome because everything you need is conviently located near you! The hotel also offers continental breakfast and towel/beach chairs if you decide to go to the beach. Housekeeping is very nice and the staff is very professional and someone is always there whenever your in need of anything. I liked almost everything, the only thing i disliked was one pizza restaurant in Plaza Las Americas that served us horrible pizza and uncooked chicken. we did not eat much of it and they did not reimbursed us. other wise all in all we had a good time. I definitely feel like I got the best bang for my dollar here. While the hotel is not "right on the water" it is only 1 short block away about a 3 minute walk. Breakfast is a full buffet style with plenty of options. The foyer was lovely and the fish tank was spectacular. Front desk staff were wonderful. Close to restaurants and beach. If you can live with that you'll be fine. While traveling the public busses don't come on a consistent schedule but their only .75 cents per person. Room was small and aircon noisy. The aircon unit from the room above dripped on ours all the time and made a noise still slept well. Very noisy outside, garbage trucks very early in am, need thicker windows. Had a lovely suite on the 18th floor with spectacular ocean view. This was a floor to ceiling glass wall. The only problem was that the single pane glass did not shield us from huge noise from busy street below. Every party, roof-top band, siren, loud conversations at all hours of the night prevented us from sleep. Suggest replacement with double-paned glass---will dampen sound and save on air conditioning costs. Microwave and fridge in room but no tea/coffee facilities in room. Everything was excellent except my hubby and I don't eat pork and our whole visit the breakfast susage was pork. They finally had some turkey on the last day of our stay. Our than that it was fabulous. It would have been nice to have a selection of beef or turkey sausage for breakfast. The elevator size and also ran very slowly We heard the noise of the trash pick-up truck even on the 10th floor. It was raining very hard and the canopy in the back of the building toward the parking facilities is not completely seal and I got all soaked getting my gear in the trunk of the car. On our last day, the breakfast food was gone by 9:00 a.m. and they didn't replenish. Room was a little dirty,breakfast needed some fruit on bar. Difficult parking. Simple things like water bottle in fridge each night as in other hotels, plus the floor of the room is not always vacuumed. The hotel don't have parking.No fruits at the breakfat. Wake-up call service poor.I had two wakeup calls, one was 45 minutes late and the second call was 15 minutes late. little bite over price since you have to add the taxes which are quite a lot. The the smell of the unit but that smell tends to always be in the air when going to a warmer climate ,I bought some Glade plug ins and then it felt and smelled like home!. 26% added to my bill did not see the small print when booking although it was on letsbookhotel.com. Rooms too cold, could not control air conditioning. parking costs to high. We had to wait for three hours to check in because the rooms were not available antill almost 5PM. N/A. Check in was late. The lack of parking space!!!. Had to ask for towels Had to ask for bath soap Had to ask for facial tissue Had to ask for toilet paper The housekeeper did a good job but she could have paid a little bit more attention to detail as to things running out and replacing them. They didn't have the room ready for check-in. Then they forgot about us. We waited for almost 3 hrs to get into our room. No parking at the hotel (options close to hotel), room required painting specially in the bathroom, checkout at 11:00am, housekeeping did not clean bathroom. The room was very small and Noisy (climatisation and toilet). There was no water pressure in the shower. There is no parking.It was difficult to pull in to check in. Bus was blocking for a period of time. There is no indoor restaurant. The hidden 28% feeds the hotel charges. Room wasntnsuper clean, had to call few days for soap, shampoo etc. AC in room was frrezing. You could never find clean pool towels,one time we waited over 12 minutes for towels. Wifi in room didn't work . Way over priced for the quality of rooms. Room service was terrible. Went into the room and found stains on the sheets. I had to change rooms 3 times and would of changed again as they were no window seals on the balcony doors, therefore, one could hear everything including traffic and bars near by. The breakfast was dreadful offering a very poor selection of bad quality food and there was not sufficient seating, had to share a table. The hotel bar is also expensive, charging considerably more than nice bars close by. Room , was noisy becuase it was on the main side of traffic,garbage trucks extremely loud at 5 am , did not get any sleep due to noise . Long queues at the reception. Plastic cutlery and dishes for the breakfast.
