Where to start? Well, for one, our night at Casa de Pendoa was the least

The apartment was situated in a nice location just a short walk to the Sintra National Palace. We stayed in the 5C which is a 3 bedroom apartment. The beds were clean, toilet clean, fresh sheets and towels, there are a number of English channels on TV and rooms were warm during winter season. Jose was very kind, friendly and helpful during the check-in. He recommended places of interests, where to get good good and the nearby grocery store. He even provided bread, jam, coffee and some port

Sintra is like a fairy tale and Quinta Das Murtas is the place to stay to make it complete. I think the place is a manor house. It's lovely inside and outside.

The house and rooms are really beautiful and exactly the style I was searching for in Portugal. We could see four or five Sintra castles from our balcony (decorated with typical blue tiles). If you can, I recommend visiting one of them, Quinta da Regaleira - it is a great romantic villa in the middle of a park.

Easy and hassle free. We had a car and needed a quick stop near Sintra and close to the Lisbon airport. Ibis location fit the bill for us to park the rental car, and return it and fly out of Lisbon early the next morning. It's an Ibis, so it's Euro style and modern. If you want real charm, stay elsewhere. But for convenience and a very comfortable and budget-wise place, it was fine.

When we arrived we got a very warm welcome from the lady of the house.
She gave us all the information about Sintra in English and could even
speak French. The house is very old, though very romantic and beautiful

This place is romantic if you like shabby-sheik. We enjoyed the ambience of the old manor. Don't expect a modern sheen. The staff were friendly and they kept a nice fire going in the downstairs eating area. There were board games to be had in another room. I think this place might feel completely different in the summer months but it suited us during somewhat unsettled weather.

Villa das Rosas was a quiet relaxing oasis in the busy town of Sintra. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. We had the "Garden Room" which was a cool retreat to return to after a day of walking, beautifully decorated mainly in white. There were tea and coffee making facilities (unusual in Portugal) and complementary water.
