The hotel is truly exquisite, a one of a kind mansion, extremely comfortable and well run. Rui and Maria made us feel like we were family, gave great suggestions, attended to our every need, and at the same time managed to be completely unobtrusive. Best breakfast ever, including fresh squeezed juice combinations, eggs, meats, cheeses and pastries. Beds very comfortable. Location perfect for exploring Lisbon. Juan and Luis made us feel at home and to treat Casa Amora like it was our own home, helping ourselves to food items in the kitchen at all hours. Great advice as to where to eat, tour, etc. Absolutely beautifully restored old property, restored to modern style with a pretty outside eating area surrounded by greenery. Our junior suite was wonderful with it's own balcony with chairs and umbrella. Close to the Metro/subway. There is an honour system for their fine stock of local wines, beer,

Quinta de Sao Filipe is a beautiful, beautiful place for those who do not want a common, standard touristic hotel, but a special place “with soul” in which they could feel “at home”. This Quinta (a family owned estate) has a great location, beautifully designed and decorated rooms and apartments and it offers astonishing river and ocean views. Antonio, the owner of the Quinta, is a great host, always very, very kind and supportive. I would not think to stay anywhere else for visiting the Setuba

It's a pity that we stayed there only one day. Everything was perfect and comfortable - imagine: you have a tasty breakfast near the swimming pool with an admirable view at the main palaces on the mountain, like in a movie! Rooms were very clean with all necessary things - fridge, kettle, cups and plates, internet access, comfortable beds, close to the old centre. I recommend tourists to stay longer in Sintra, only in Casa do Valle - 3-5 days - for getting full relax.

Villa das Rosas was a quiet relaxing oasis in the busy town of Sintra. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. We had the "Garden Room" which was a cool retreat to return to after a day of walking, beautifully decorated mainly in white. There were tea and coffee making facilities (unusual in Portugal) and complementary water.
