Very nice ambience and extraordinarily friendly, helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Quiet at night, especially considering the neighbourhood. Take one of the larger rooms if possible (we did), as the standard rooms are only around 10 m2, which almost doubles for a moderate price premium. -

When we arrived Andreia was so helpful in telling us all the magnificient places to visit, to eat and how to get to the beaches. Villa das Rosas was a quiet relaxing oasis in the busy town of Sintra. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. We had the "Garden Room" which was a cool retreat to return to after a day of walking, beautifully decorated mainly in white. There were tea and coffee making facilities (unusual in Portugal) and complementary water.

The staff was really wonderful, the hotel was in a nice side street with full view of the Castle on the hill. I asked for a room with a view and got one via this website booking. We also stayed at the hotel on June 23-24, and those two women were there when we discovered that my wife lost her wallet and identification. Our luggage was also lost in transit.
