My sister and I took our 81yr old mother to Gdansk and stayed in the Krolewski. It was ideally situated, being only a 10 min walk into the Old Town.Our room had wonderful views of the river and Old Town while mother's overlooked the front of the hotel. We had requested quiet rooms and we certainly could not complain. The hotel is perfect, large comfortable room, very smart restaurant, great selection for breakfast, staff very helpful and friendly, great view across the river and only a slow 10 minute stroll to the old town. It doesnt get much better than this I would definitley stay here again.

It closed along with the restaurant. Only one very thin pillow given, could have done with another. A courtesy bus to the city centre may be a good idea as the walk (when dark) is a little offputting as the hotel is on an island across from the city but you have a 20 min walk to get to it. Tea/Coffee in the room would be good. To access rooms on the first floor you must use the elevator, the stairs are only an emergency exit.The breakfast was very ordinary, in fact probably the worst breakfast I have experienced in a hotel of this standard. Dinner in the restaurant. I had difficulties to access internet, but the lady at the reception was so helpful to let use the fax cable connection. My room was on the first floor with no stair access. It was above the front entrance and quite noisy. We asked for a double and got a twin. We asked for no smoking but when we entered the room it smelled of stale smoke. We did not complain as we felt that moaning could have ruined our valentines. No airco.
