Stayed at the Grand Cru Hotel over the last weekend and I was very pleased with the high standards of the hotel itself and with the service. I had dinner in the restaurant on one of the evenings and would recommend it for quality, service and value. My waiter was great and I would not have known it was his first night if he had not told me - good job! The free WiFi really worked all over the hotel, makes life much easier than billing by the day. The hotel is just round the corner from the water.

The architecture of the building with a mix of new and some touches of old style. The minimalist decoration in the rooms. Tastefully designed restaurant as well. If you are looking for a high-end luxury hotel in a prime location, Hotel Grand Cru is an excellent choice. The rooms are very well designed and have all the facilities you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The hotel offers a fantastic sauna and decent fitness facilities. Location wise it is located just around the corner from the main city centre of Gdansk, in a quiet street. Overall highly recommend. The hotel was super! I was travelling with colleague from Austria. Also he was extremely satisfied with the place. Great design, comfortable rooms, perfect location only a short walk to city attractions, personel extremely friendly and attentive. The area is being developed and there is a fair bit of construction nearby - nothing to do with the Grand Cru and did not impact on great stay. The bathroom zinc was extremely small, the faucet in the center made it very difficult to use. There was no appropriate light for the mirror. Hotels in general forget that people actually want to see themselves in the mirror. Some of the fitness equipment was not working which is a shame. The roomservice menu should be reviewed, at the moment only high quality "fancy" food is on offer which is not such a great option for the "muchies". But these are minor points, overall I can highly recommend Grand Cru!. There was No Price list for the mini bar. Not quite on the riverfront and not as central as other hotels, although very close to some of the best restaurants in Gdansk. Very small and high located window and as a result: no view and no sunshine. Immediate neighbourhood slightly run-down but not really a problem because so well located in other respects. Slightly "cold" atmosphere. (Not temperature, more the style of the place eg restaurant a bit soulless in the evenings.). I stayed 2 nights and my room was not made after the first night. obviously this was forgotten and corrected after asking. -:). The heating system doesn´t work properly. No orange juice in the breakfast. Only one English speaking channel on the TV, menu quite short/limited with mainly "fancy" food (rather than Polish home cooking and down-to-earth simple dishes). Loved everything. Nothing!. Our balcony room had the hotel extractor fax on the roof above us. Didn't bother us in room but on balcony was rather loud or for light sleepers. The room had very poor air conditioning. the window was very small and did not open up very widely. The location was in the tourist area, but was rather "seedy", at the end of a street, nexxt to several hostels and small bars. Would not stay there again. A little sterile feeling. Walkways and lighting outside hotel very poor. needs looking at especially for people who walk to river front. The noise from the air-conditioner at the roof which one can hear even when the window is closed. Hard to enjoy the terrace while listening to this noisy installation :/. Breakfast too expensive, poor staff levels at Check out, no pool, unpredictable parking. Food left a little to be desired. Area is being re-developed so the setting is a bit run down. Bed was too narrow, didn't like the glass bathroom door. Missed a safe in room. Cold aparence, not cosy. Small exercise facility. Extremly small sauna. the wedding party took place in the restaurant from 19 of saturday to 4 AM of sunday. the staff were not proactive and did not ask the quests from the restaurants left the hotel with no screams and drunk noise...we were not warned about the party in advance and could not sleep. absolutely unfreandly and unhospitable attitude to guests...
