I chose the hotel based on the feedbacks from a travel website. I did not read anything significant that would otherwise point me to other hotels. True enough, it was real value for money. Apart from its very central location in Ayala Centre, its deluxe room at p2,200 with breakfast is unbeatable. Ive just learned that this is a relatively new hotel, no wonder their sheets are still crispy and the bathroom spotless. I seldom use the bathtub in hotels but this time I was able to soak up twice. all reviews » - They have a big and quiet lobby. - Checking in and out of the hotel was fast. - All the staff were great. They will assist you the moment your cab stopped in front of the hotel. They will carry your bags, open the door, and even call you a taxi. - Deluxe room was awesome. Everything was new. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom has a very clean toilet and bathtub. Toiletries were also provided. Hot and cold shower were all working fine. - The elevators were fast. - They have a pool . The hotel was nice. It was quite new at the time and very clean and tidy. The staff were pleasant and efficient. My room was excellent, very comfortable bed with good bathroom facilities. The wifi internet was free and worked well both in the bar / restaurant and my room. This hotel is very close to the amazing Ayala centre as stated. I liked the staff from the housecleaning to the chef. This wasn't good stay for us. At the time the price was a great value. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet . Very nice hotel. I like that the staff are very friendly & accommodating. They always have that ready smile everytime they see the guests. Professional run hotel. Mainly the Location. Location. The door staff always smiling and greeting was nice. Only very trivial things. First, the sliced bread they have on their breakfast buffet, they only serve white bread( I prefer wheat) which I thought was bought from the corner bakery, it looks tired, old and cheap. Second, their fitness center during our stay was still under construction. My wife and I were looking forward to working out in the afternoon we checked in, only to be disqppointed. Breakfast was a buffet with not much choice for a westerner. There were no cereals, yoghurt etc. and very limited fruit. Bread choice was just 'plastic' sliced and packaged. The eggs container was empty when I arrived and just got refilled 20 mins later as I was leaving. - Disappointing There were no ironing facilities in the room. I can not think of anything that I disliked. I didn't like that they don't have enough lighting in the rooms. The light bulbs although there are a few are dim. There is no bidet too. I hope they work that out. Overall,I would recommend this hotel. They were building an office next door, didnt effect sleep at all but made it very noisy and overlooked at the swimming pool. Not a huge problem but could have been. Small swimming pool and slow wifi. The carpark construction site across the street. All was just fine :). (1) no wifi - it made us separated from our friends and family members and my husband was not able to access e-mails from business clients and partners (2) limited menus offered in the restaurant. quilts are too small in the single beds in a twin room, lighting for mirror is too dim, water flows to the bathroom floor when taking a shower even with the shower curtain. It is slightly let down by the bar / restaurant which is a bit 'spartan' The food was OK but a much more interesting variety is in the nearby Ayala centre - thankfully just a few minutes walk. Wifi wasn't working during our stay. Pool is small, and not as clean as expected. Area around the hotel isn't great. Breakfast OK but could be improved. Small things like They charge unnecessary deposit, 4 pillows- all too thick. Breakfast needs a little variety Stayed six days same breakfast every day. Gym Center was not yet open. nothing. The restaurant a little bit disorganised,staff not knowing what is and what is not on the dinner menu. Im sure in time it will improve as they are all new in this new hotel. a little bit training for the frontliners/receptionist on how to handle customers. and also asking for a downpayment that will be refunded once you'll check-out. i think its no good since some of the customers are using credit cards then you'll be asking for cash... well, i do consider since its still soft opening of your hotel. Check in staff could not find my reservation even though I had been booked in for almost 2 months through letsbookhotel.com. Breakfast needs to be more western style dishes, instead of mainly Chinese & Filipino Lunch type foods. The WiFi wasn't working in the room at the time. They blamed it on the recent earthquake, but who knows.. It was working in the lobby however. The buffet breakfast was acceptable but could be improved. Lobby was a little warm. Service thought quite good, need more and strong supervision. Breakfast is also oaky, but could be with more western things. Due to Typhon (8th Nov), I had to postopne my check out from 1pm to 4:30 pm and I have been charged additional half day, which is unfair. Should expedite check in process. Pls eliminate the need to deposit cash if guests are paying with a credit card. Only 3 sunchairs at the swimminpool area it was place for at least 25 WHY??? If you want to sunbathing here forget it. The room was not really really cleaned. Housekeeping service is bad. The hotel provides only one pillow per bed. I requested for 2 additional pillows and the hotel charged me extra. It took housekeeping 2 to 3 hours to respond to my requests for the pillows and bathroom tissue. The hotel is under stsffed. Buffet breakfast was lousy. There was no airconditioning at the lobby and hsllways. I arrived at hotel 90 mins before check in and for some reason they made me wait until 2pm until check in as a matter of procedure. I enquired at 1.50pm to be told its not 2pm yet Sir!. Service was not very good. brekfast vas bad. check-in/check-out is slow. Free breakfast is lacking in choices. The breakfast was not as stated when I booked and only for Chinese and pinoy people,not American style like said when booked...I will not be going back there,I have stayed at much cheaper and was so much better.
