We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Bathrobes and slippers in the room were a plus. We booked a room with a jacuzzi which helped us tremendously after our hike up to Machu Picchu. Our room was located in the back of the hotel facing the cliff and the rushing river. So was the jacuzzi. Nice! Do take advantage of the half-board meal which includes breakfast and dinner. We were extremely delighted with the taste and the presentation of our meal - not to be mi.
all reviews » The location could not be more breath-taking, our room was right above the rapids. The restaurant was wonderful - great food and attentive staff. The frontdesk staff could not have been more helpful. I asked where I could go to buy sunscreen and they insisted on going out and buying it for me! The room was extremely comfortable. OUr stay there could not have been nicer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The check-in process was vert quick, I was able to leave my belongings in the room even thought that I was before my check-in time. The hoter is is very clean and beautiful. YOu were able to see the river from the windows in the hotel. The location of the hotel is also perfect, not far from the train station. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. Tina was brilliant! She helped us a lot during our stay. It's in the center of aguas calientes and very close to the train station. Dinner was lovely although menu is limited. Breakfast was also limited but good quality. I would recommend only if spa facilities were included in the price of the room. The staff (particularly Tania and David) were friendly and helpful. They did everything in order to make our stay enjoyable. We had a beautiful and spacious room overlooking the river. It was very comfortable and clean. The hotel provided a guide for Machu Picchu (Roberto) who was extremely knowledgable. The massage was first rate. Perfect.Great & staff, especially friendly manager Alcides. They picked us from the train station (5 min. walk). Excellent room with a nice view over the river. Tasty dinner (2 appetizers+main+dessert+glass of wine)included in room rate. The dinner (included) was spetacular. The room is big and very comfortable. The jacuzzi at the room`s balcony, with view to the river, is the best to relax after visiting Machu Picchu. The location,very close to the bus and train station but then Aqua Calientes is so small that so is everything. The only issue that I had was that even thought that there was Wifi available you were not able to access wifi in your room. I had to go to the lobby and find a wifi spot to access the internet. There were several of the guest doing the same thing. My suggestion will be to get better wifi, other than that I very much enjoyed my stay. Be aware that the spa facilities are not included in the rate and are very expensive for what you get for. Something like 45usd to use the hot tub and 45usd to use the sauna per person so its quite dear however after enquiring the manager very kindly gave us a complimentary use of hot tub. Although the price of this hotel compared favourably to other luxury hotels in Aguas Calientes, It should be said that they tend to be more expensive then equivalent hotels elsewhere in Peru. Nothing. Nothing. Some technical issues regarding Internet and water, but they were resolved when addressed. Price! Somewhat high but still worth it to get an early start to Machu Picchu. Nothing. Expensive for what you get. Noise of the river may be annoying. Some staff needs more training/experience. WiFi quality was not the best. Even in our room the signal was poor and only enough close to the door. Bathroom floor got wet (almost floded) after use of the shower (even closing the courtain properly). Room and bathroom are a bit on the small side. Food that was included was good but limited if staying more than one night. Staff lacks experience : forgot to pick us up at Machupicchu train station, forgot they promissed to give us an upgrade (which was given but we had to ask for it as the receptionist had not been informed..). Hope all this will improve with time... Too close to train station Water kept leaking from shower to floor.
