Oslo is an expensive city, and the option for self-catering is very useful. Free wireless internet was also very useful. The location of the hotel is excellent. The room was extremely warm, and very light. The staff were charming.

In order to preserve the historic qualities of Villa Park, hotel has limited catering facilities. Therefore breakfast can not be included to the service. Bakery however can be found across the road.

Villa Park is part of the area of townhouses which was built around the Norwegian Palace in the last part of the 19th Century.

The residence was first owned by Valentin Fürst, a well reputed doctor and friend of Henrik Sørensen, the painter, and Gustav Vigeland, the sculptor (the Vigeland Park). They both have visited Villa Park many times.

Hvidsten Eiendom renovated the building in 1999 in cooperation with the Inspectorate of Ancient Monuments and Historic Buildings (Byantikvaren).

If you expect to arrive after 21:30, please inform Frogner House in advance. These apartments are located in residential buildings and guests are kindly asked to keep noise to a minimum. All guests must be registered with the property in advance. No visitors are allowed on the premises. During weekends, guests under the age of 25 can only check in if travelling as part of a family. A refundable security deposit will be charged by Frogner House Apartments upon arrival, and the amount depends on the length of stay: - For stays of 6 nights or less, the deposit is 500 NOK - For stays of 7 nights or more, the deposit is 1500 NOK Please note that the check-in and key-collection take place at: Skovveien 8, 0257 Oslo.
