Hotels near Karl Johans gate

This is an absolute gem and a bargin in an expensive city, my girfriend and I have just returned and were almost going to change hotel after reading reviews describing the area as being like a red light district. I'm so glad we didn't as this is a major exageration in our weekend here we seen nothing of the sort and never felt anxious or uneasy walking back to the hotel at night. - Barry
