Staff were very nice when checking in & out & also assisted with booking a tour we were interested in seeing. The restaurant breakfast was very nice & good value for money, The Quality Inn is within walking distance to a shopping mall & city center. Rooms were clean & tidy. We would stay here again if we returned to Rotorua. Friendly service from the front desk. Avasilability of pool and spa Resonably priced breakfast. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby each morning with the comp, news papers. The only thing that would have improved it was if there was comp. coffee available. Thank you ... Lee.

Booking as a group meant it was really affordable and we were all really stoked with the whole experience. loved that it was central to everything, had a swimming pool, spa and gym. appreciated free wi-fi. clean facility and breakfast was available at cost. staff were friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the rooms as it is as good as any other rooms of the expensive Hotels in the area. Car parks were close and very accessible for loading luggage to and from rooms. I liked the friendly atomosphere of the hotel. It was convenient to everything I needed. I had specific requests and they were all adhered to - highly recommend this hotel. Very comfortable. Unfortunately there were nothing special on our stay in this hotel, it is a very very basic hotel. This is the worst accommodation we had throughout our recent trip to NZ. It was convenient to the downtown district. TV only had about 3 channels but in fairness we weren't there to watch TV so didn't really bother us. bike in the gym wasn't working, could do with a few free weights and clean towels. smaller trolleys for use in the small lifts. Slow Internet connections to access mail in a hurry. One Internet facility to share with everyone while trying to connect. It was very warm in the rooms and the air conditioning units in the main hotel block didn't seem to be working. Pillows soft and thin apparently there was a problem with the heat function on the aircon. Found long blond hair on the new bath towel I took off the shelf and 2 hairs in the bath. The free WIFI was very very slow at times. The shower went everywhere except the bath, Children next door came into our room as we had adjoining door, and they ran up and down the corridor. The cleaning took forever we waited until after 12 and in the end we just went back to a messy room. You pay for what you get I guess. It was a cheapie but the lovely staff made up for the shortcomings of the facilities. Bathroom vent fan not working. Stayed on ground floor, woke every morning to condensation on all 4 walls, due to this a mould smell occurred. The smell of Rotorua is still evident inside the hotel. Room telephone not working. Small gripe only, TV channel 3 no reception. No small munchies. All good. The room looked dated and in need of a reno. Disappointed in receptionist when I tried to check-in at 1pm - off-hand, not welcoming and I was amazed that an early check-in could not be accommodated given hotel was not busy. When i did check in at 5.30 pm receptionist was excellent. When I paid the bill with my credit card, I was charged in my home country currency (US) instead of NZ dollars. I was not given a choice and this fact was hidden from me until after I signed the credit card slip. This resulted in an extra 2.5% fee added to my bill. The worst internet connections throughout our stays. Not all (even the local) TVs are on :(. I was charged for a collect call I made, and the staff was not helpful in rectifying it. The room was stuffy.
