Really good service from Sue in reception, who deserves all the thanks for our fantastic stay in Rotorua. Who gave us very good instructions on tours and trips, through her good local knowledge and was prepared to assist us with almost everything. The rooms were small, but good and very clean for for the price we payed. Sue was extremely helpful, helped us with booking trips, planning what to do, gave us advice- thank you! Location was great, few mins walk from all the sights in the centre. Really clean, comfy beds, fridge, tea/coffee/milk, toasters, microwave and kettle - excellent.
all reviews » We booked the budget twin with shared facilities but was delighted to have gotten an upgrade, with en suite facilities. Only downside is room was small and compact but cleanliness and central location more than made up for that. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice clean hostel, staff where very friendly. Also, quite quiet. Kitchen was nice, with a TV. Some parking. Location was great, close to the i-Site, lots of food places, a spa, the lake front. Wifi wasnt expensive, and worked well. Great location just in the center. Very good value for the price, even more because we got upgraded due to overbooking :) Friendly staff, a bit small but clean and stylish room, free wifi vouchers. Wish we could have stayed longer. Stayed with family booked two rooms and i would say it was worth and staff was very friendly and helpful.Comfortable and clean rooms prking was good and overrall the location was great would rcommend all its good value for money. My family and I enjoyed the stay, Frank and Sue friendly. Rooms very tidy and clean. Would go back there , but not hire the small rooms , only if they had better air conditioning. It would be perfect... So handy to town. This backpackers was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfy and there was a heater in the room. It was also located very close to shops and restaurants as well as the Polynesian Spas and a grocery store. Danish owner, Frank extremely friendly, helpful and hard working. Ensuite room had everything you could possibly need, very well equipped.. Very comfortable bed. Quiet, in spite of central location. The Managers willingness to answer questions and general helpful service. Need prominent signage to advertise location. Found it difficult to find entrance between bus stop and video store. What we expected for the price we paid. The toilet and showers were straight outside the room door and the communial kitchen could not have been better. An added bonus was wi-fi was free. nice room and comfortable.great value for a place to stay for those who just a budget and just located on the town. the receptionist is very helpful. I liked the owners they were all very nice & it is in the middle of town so park & shop is always a big thumbs up. the location is great, just in heart of town center, and staff there are all nice and like to help! Big and nice kitchen!. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The place was extremely clean & is right in the centre of town. It was a really humble quiet place with great rooms that was like appartments. really enjoyed our time there!. everything it was just perfect in all areas, all 3 matured woman felt safe & great value for money. The rooms with the 2 single beds had no air conditioning and tiny window.Small room. My sister in-law and brother were up most of the first nite , couldn't sleep because of ventilation was poor and the heat. Only had a small fan that didn't to much . Next day they left fan on from 10.00am .Found this helped a bit. There were no hooks or shelves near the sink, so I did not have anywhere to put my stuff for getting ready for bed. Bed a bit firm. I didn't like the duvet cover on the bed it kept slipping and we got tangled in the cover. Would be good to have heavier cover so it doesn't move. The room we stayed was really small... It was very noisy, the company next door started at 5 am both mornings we were there. There is no free wifi. nothing. What I didn't like was the checkout time 10:00 hrs is to early, 12:00 should be enough time to prepare for the next client, but this is common in New Zealand this is not Astray rule. Picked here as would think been a backpackers/motel that there would be noise allowed but was told on more than one occasion to keep noise down. i want a hair dryer. Shower need to bee clean more That it. Studio was very small but with a very large en suite bathroom!!!. A bit noisy due to the thin walls. The beds creek and you can hear the sound from the other room. Also the other guests bang the doors so I suggest to put a spring on the doors. :). Shower head, probably needs to be soaked in a CLR solution to unclog the mineral build up :). not listed on town maps ; no luggage storage ;. Tiny room. We could feel the springs through the mattrass. Why not make the hand basins for the toilets higher or at least add a shelf when they double as was basins. Kitchen upstairs. It's noisey when you lived in the room next the shower. Only cold water ( hot not working). The noise of people and cars all the time... the room was not clean.
