We arrived early at 10am at the hotel & they let us have an early check in. Stayed at the superior double room ground level facing Remarkables. View absolutely stunning! I couldn't fault with this hotel..everything is great! Room is clean, bedsheets clean & soft...rooms are reasonably priced..you can compare it with other hotels with same quality. Public bus stop nearby & buses at 15-20mins interval. (Check out www.connetabus.com).
all reviews » Very good hotel, but fairly dated. we had room 109 - no problems, clean, with warmer in the room and bathroom, everything is working etc... but everything is dated. You would forgive a lot for the view especially considering that Queenstown is not the city where you would like to sit at home a lot )) Location is very convenient, quiet, 5 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from the city, parking on-site is available for free.Nice clean room. Excellent view. The porter boy who wears normal T-shirt is most helpful. Reception people are good. Accessible to town by yellow public bus, just outside main road of hotel. Very good eco-friendly hotel! Recommended. I liked the staff they were very friendly...the housekeepers were very helpful and did a great job....the room is clean however maybe a lick of paint might brighten it up abit... It is home away from home for us. The friendly helpful staff; the view from and comfort of our room. Excellent meals. A beautiful place to stay in all respects. Not close from the town but views are good. Easy to catch a taxi or bus. Good for winter sports. Nothing. None..everything is great!. I absolutely didn't like the absence of internet. We literally couldn't connect nor in the room neither at reception. In the end we managed to connect and check what we needed at reception, but that is not the way internet should work in XXI century... Especially when you need to check that nothing has changed on next stages of your self-planned trip. There was a group in and they walked around outside made alot of noise...not that is the hotel's fault at all... Nothing it was perfect!. I have completed the in house form in which I explained my issues. I wish to provide the oportunity for them to respond. The restaurant was not that good for vegetarians. Rooms could do with a spruce up. shower head kept falling down. No sky in rooms, only double beds. All good. The worry that how I was going to drive down the driveway if it froze overnight. alarm clock in vacant room next to mine going off at 6am. no cooking facility, poor parking,. We felt we were put "out the back" because we booked online and paid less. Our view was the tennis court and back yard when the pictures gave us the impression we would overlook the lake. Bit disappointing I must say. Also room noise from neighbors, walls must be thin. The colour of bed cover (only that simple) :). I just think if the room is brighter itd leave happier feelings. nothing..perfect. Bit far from the town center if you do not have a car. The bathroom was a little outdated. Joinery/grouting around bath tub and shower needed some attention.The walls seemed rather thin as we could hear conversation from ajoining rooms. Unfinished room, hair on bathroom floor not ours. Facility was in need of upgrade. Lighting poor and some things didn't work. i.e. extractor fan in bathroom not working. Heating noisy. No biscuit with my coffee. The room very cold, might be the heater not good. Internet super ...low and bad. Had that old smell to the place, there are a lot more better places for the same price or little bit more.
