Chalet Romantica was one of - if not the best B&B we stayed in during our trip to NZ. Inge was very friendly and welcoming and made us feel quite comfortable on our first night in NZ. The location offers a gorgeous view of the Bay of Islands and is walkable to good dining options. The breakfast was marvelous!. The attention to detail was second to none, the hosts were friendly & helpful and the situation was wonderful too. We stayed in the apartment & there was everything you needed to cater for yourselves. We would certainly stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to visit nz again.
all reviews » This has to be the best B&B in Paihia, if not in New Zealand. Inge is a delightful host and her breakfasts are to die for. We were in the Garden Room which was most comfortable and private. The spa bath and pool are just the thing for relaxing after a day's sightseeing. Everyone was perfect. Inge was such a brillant host and we did not want for anything. The rooms, location, breakfast was faultless and the next time we are back in Paihia we would not stay anywhere else. Just have to say again the breakfast was fabulous. Wonderful view. Inge was a superb hostess and helpful and thoughtful of trips etc, including changing plans due to weather and poor health of my husband. We would recommend the chalet to all our friends. Really welcoming and friendly. Tasteful decorations and flower arrangements. Breakfasts were amazing. It was served on one long table so it was easy to communicate with fellow travellers. Hosts were helpful, responsive and had excellent suggestions tailored to our needs. Fabulous views and lovely breakfast area with super view. Rooms were cozy, comfortable and clean.
