Location Situated a walkway away from the Visitor's Centre, Cathedral Square...you're in the heart of town. I didn't drive and didn't have to worry about parking, but there are shuttles and busses all the time from the airport...at around NZD5. Safe, central location. The room I stayed in room 608 for three nights - nice views of the mountains. The room was huge, more modern than one of the hotels I stayed in at Auckland, and is all you need. This hotel was perfect for me. It is literally round the corner from Cathedral Square where the tourist information office is and where a lot of the trips/shuttle buses leave from. It was handy to be able to call in during the day and leave or pick stuff up. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and modern. I stayed for 4 nights and have no complaints at all. We stayed in this hotel for two nights and the locaion's superb. Right next to the Cathedral Square, tram stop, bus pick-up for International Antartic Centre etc. The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of car park, so the friendly staff guided us to a nearby parking lot. Was a bit nervous initially, but we were givien the right directions and good help. The room was neat and clean, decently well appointed. We got a horrible view, though, of a nearby building.
