The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was not a pleasant start to our stay in Sydney. A $40. ride turned out to be $77., but when arriving at the hotel the clerk was very nice and friendly and the rooms were available early, with all our baggage that was most appreciated. The clerk helped carry the luggage as we had lots of stairs and no elevator and an older couple with us. Micro, refrigerator and hot water pot was very nice. Bed was nice and clean and walking distance to the rail statio.
all reviews » Free shuttle to/from airport. Came very quickly to pick me up from airport and take me to hotel. Left promptly the next morning to get me back to airport for very early departure. Driver was very friendly. Restaurant, which was closed the night I arrived, gave me some cereal and milk as I was very hungry and it was after 10pm. I would stay there again if I travel to Auckland. The booking was easy online w/bookings.com. I loved that it was very clean and comfortable with kind, friendly, efficient staff. Especially appreciated as I arrived at 1am. I liked the cosy feel of the room. I loved the free shuttle to and from the airport. I loved the dilmah tea, the milk, the alarm that worked and the comfy bed. I liked the hot shower, the soap and shampoo, and the clean towels and bedding. Liked the look of it all. As a solo senior traveller felt very secure and safe-the staff considerate[had the heater on so the room was warm!Also the electric blanket!Also being able to have an excellent dinner on site-free parking while i was away and free shuttle service both to and from the airport-- just so easy!!. Proximity to airport and free pick-up shuttle. I left too early to have had breakfast. I also did not eat supper at the restaurant, but there are several other options within walking distance. Room a little noisy with road traffic - but that can't be helped. Broken lock on the slider to outside. Very noisy room next door. Lack of parking. Restaurant very expensive for the type of food. Room not clean - carpet/skirting join full of dust. Nothing to dislike. Internet charges. Gardens are shabby - need more maintenance; need more chairs & sun lounges around the pool. lack of heating system. small fan heater to warm the big room. The unit I last stayed in had an old bathroom, I have stayed here about 6 times before & never experienced an old bathroom, most are really modern. Nothing really. Perhaps the breakfast could be a little more than the absolute minimum.
