First of all the Staff was very helpful and kind. We took a suite, which was a great value pick compared to the other hotels, as it was festival weekend in the city. The room was very nice and clean, and the kitchen equipment were ok. We found the lobby area very beautiful. They had a nice library, pool and pingpong tables etc. Overall a very pleasant stay, and would definately recommend especially if you are going during the NSJ-festival and looking for a nice hotel with affordable prices.
all reviews » The hotel has a lot of additional facilities like billiards, ping pong, the gym, a lot of common space with couches and chairs. There is a cafe just next door where one can have a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is located in a very nice and cosy area of Rotterdam. It's very close to the river Maas and to the centre. A big part Kralingen Bos is also fairly close by bike. Very good value for money. Perfect student environment! I wish we knew in advance and could have booked it for a whole year! Price would be the same as renting any room in thecity... My son can eat, study, use internet, printer and copier, do laundry, go to the gym, play a game of pool or ping pong... And it is full of students! Music is everywhere, so are free bicycles! Great idea. Everything perfect. Very spacious room, everything as new, very clean. Large bathroom with perfect shower and lots of wardrobe space in your room to put away your stuff. A nice restaurant on site and a lot of thing to do onsite to spend your free hours. Location very easy to reach an very easy to park your car close by. Highly recommended place to stay!. Great hotel. Love the comfortable beds, own bathroom, large room and flat screen tv. Also fridge was good for keeping milk, beer etc. Restaurant downstairs was great too, had soy lattes and good vegetarian options! Also cheap beer and cider. Staff were very friendly. Gym was great - loved the kettlebell collection. Laundry was useful too. Everything was perfect! The room is great enough and plenty of facilites such as coffee machine, stove, microwave and small fridge. Besides, the wifi works out pretty well. Furniture is brand new and the bed is overall that confortable. The quality of this hotel took me by surprise. I really had a blast!. Clean and comfortable. The suites are enormous and the location is excellent, close to the shops, markets and cafes of Kralingen. There is a tram stop located directly in front of the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. A lot of fun and useful presents ). Great gym for free. Design is so cool that you want to be more and more in each part of the hotel. A LOT of place to work with laptop or books comfortably. very nice atmosphere, clean and good looking rooms, close to the city center (10 min. by walk), young and nice staff...briefly, an excelent place to stay for a resonable price. The staff was friendly, the furnishings were very nice, I can imagine spending an entire semester here for sure :) The restaurant "The Kitchen" is a great place too. The design, cool concept Parking outside the door, though charge does apply during the day Kitchenette in room, microwave and 2 hobs, unexpected surprise. The room was actually more comfortable than what I imagined. The hotel has a lovely design and a young vibe. I also did not have difficulties to find it. The best hostel stay through out my western europe trip in august 2013. If i ever come back to Rotterdam, i will stay at this wonderful place again. The location, the facilities of the room, the kitchen in the same hotel, all the services, that the room was clean, the relation price-service. I prefer booking the hotel this time as, when I arrived I went to the reception and they explained everything to me. First time I arrived, the reception was closed, so I had to pick up my key at the Kitchen. Last time my room hadn't been cleaned, and there was no towels etc. The cleaner apologised the next day and I was sorted out. However on this trip it was a lot better, I was on the top floor, looking North over the city, the views were amazing and I met some great friends in the hotel too. . Rotterdam is real modern city and o real mixture of contemporary architecture. Location was excellent. Room & bathroom were very spacious. 1. Clean Room 2. The room has kitchen. Utilities are a bit expensive for a student budget, e.g. The restaurant, the coffee. n/a. A little bit noisy on the main road, but I've had worse. Kitchen didn't have any appliances other than one spoon, knife and fork. Would have loved if we could hire kitchenware so we could have cooked our own meal. Laundry was good but had to keep goon back to reception to get the key and give it back. The fire alarm was set at 11:00 PM for nothing. Not much really. As one reviewer mentioned, the rooms do look more like a dorm room than a hotel, and the kitchenettes in the suites come with nothing in them (no cutlery, crockery or cooking utensils of any kind), rendering them virtually worthless. That should be addressed. For such price and advantages? R u kidding? :). Perhaps the location but there are trams that goes from right outside the hotel straight to the city center and I think they are quick but I never took them. I was walking. It is a good way to see more of the city. The only problem that I had was with the Internet connection in my mobile phone being in the room. Was impossible to get acces to the Wi-Fi network and made phone calls using Viber or WhatsApp. It's a problem to have breakfast nearby if you're alone. Can only cook in the kitchen. the drink in the restaurant is a bit expensive for student and it can only pay by credit card. Be aware it is a student hostel as well, therefore a lot of student who can get loud at times, but it didn't bother us. little details: only one chair in the room (not very convinient when we wanted to have breakfast there), no place to hang the hand towel in the toilet. It would be quite impossible for me to park a bike if my boyfriend wasn't there also. And the elevator did always something weird and came so long. shower curtain not effective!. No soap :(. The room decor is quite plain. We are arranged to live in rooms for disable since the hotel missed our bookings. Prices in restaurant are little bit too high. The bathroom was clean, stylish but not very comfortable. Bed is little small for two people and there is no hair dryer. Reception is not open 24 hours. cleaning staffs are few. Doors slam a bit hard, so it was a bit noisy at times, when others were coming and going, but not too bad. shower is very uncomfortable. kitchen. bathroom. hot water is too hot. Not cleaning the room. - Toilet paper wasn't filled up - Towels and sheets weren't changed. The Hotel is about a 15min walk from the city centre, which has its pro's and con's I suppose. But it does have a Metro at the end of the road and a Tram straight opposite the Hotel. Staffs were not helpful and not kind. Rooms are so small. Also there is one kitchen in our room.But no spoon etc.staff. Squeaky bed. No hair dryer. 1. The receptionists were not that kind. They seem that they dont want to be bothered by guests. E.G., They did not specifically tell me how to use wifi, and just tell me "do yourself". 2. Location was terrible!!!! You should know that this hotel is about 1.5km away from the nearest METRO station. NEVER CONVENIENT LOCATION!.
