- we received a free room upgrade...king size bed and private mini-sauna in the bathroom - free espresso in the room - view from the room - an excellent SPA (free) situated at the 8th floor with really nice view of the harbour from the gym, the relax zone and sauna too!!! Open until 11PM - awesome furniture, each floor is different in style - good cocktail bar - excellent breakfast, a great choice of everything in a completely fusion style, free white brut wine! - 3 glass lift - excellent staff.
all reviews » Corner room on 9th floor with large windows offered fantastic 180 degrees view of Rotterdam. Beautifully designed, quiet and spacious. Spa-bath/whirlpool great extra. Very modern hotel that offers great value for money at a very convenient location, almost on the Maas river and 5-15 minutes walk from the major shopping/nightlife areas, renovated shipping/docking areas, harbour tours etc. The hotel was gorgeous. It calls itself a design hotel and for once the moniker is well deserved. Views from the hotel, being right in the old harbour, are stunning and it is located close to the shopping and dining areas of the city. And the price couldn't be beat. When you stay here, you'll get a five star hotel for a two star price!. the stylish design of the whole hotel - the lobby, the glassy lifts the amazing bedroom design and confort, gorgeous view from the windom to the old harbour; excellent as well the restaurant/ bar and its service, making possible to have a good dinner until 1am. Mainport hotel will definitively be my hotel in Rotterdam. Wonderful spa hotel in the centre of Rotterdam. Excellent staff, comfortable rooms and the spa baths are wonderful. Free WIFI everywhere which is fast and reliable. The views from the rooms and the rest of the hotel are amazing, excellent sound proofed windows and walls. Everything was perfect, the room, bath, spa every detail; friendly staff, the bartender ready to accomplish each kind of taste. The restaurant worked till late (consider in Rotterdam you are lucky if you can find any restaurant opened after 10 pm). OMG there was a television in the mirror of the bathroom! So awesome. And the spa-bathtub was amazing. The bed super comfy and big. The shampoo smelled really nice - high quality. This is definitely by far the best hotel in Rotterdam. The promotional price was great for the value one can get. Food was REALLY good at the small restaurant they have. And - obviously - everything is so new! And, of course, having a sauna in your bathroom is great!. The hotel is just outstanding for what you pay. Amazing top floor SpA and super luxury furnished rooms and bathrooms. Very well prepared cocktails at the bar which is a very rare thing to find in Holland. The hotel was superb. The room was decorated with an African theme and the bed was very large and comfortable. From the shape of the room, the furniture, the wall decorations in the hallways, the bedroom... It felt wonderfully luxurious to behold. The hotel has very friendly and nice staff. Facalities Cleaness of the room The location Wellness spa. The room was very comfortable and very clean!. - the private park was on payment and expensive - swimming pool (little) was out of order :(. The A/C was somewhow pointed straight to the bed and blew freezing cold air. So it was either being too warm or being too cold. Maybe it was just this room. Parking was expensive. We didn't mind paying because the room rate was so low, but with public parking being 27 Euros a night and valet parking being 37 Euros a night, I thought I would mention it since parking comprised nearly 30% of the room rate. the hair dryers were always failling; had to replace them several times without improvement .... I think it is standard now in most 4 star hotels to offer complimentary water in the room or a free mini bar so a 5 star should not do less. The food, drink and sundries displayed in the room were hideously over-priced. Tea should be provided as well as coffee in the rooms. Nothing I didn't like. Nothing worth to be mentioned. Only thing to be aware of is there is no parking apart from valet parking which is a bit expensive. Fairly poor fitness facilities. The crème brûlée :). Breakfast a bit pricey. Wifi had a weak signal. The price a bit high. The breakfast not included. Shower flooded large part of the bathroom floor and our bathroom had an unpleasant sewer smell. We liked everything, maybe the weakest point is the relatively small spa and a swimming pool, but the staff there is great!. I can not say that the design is something super ordinary. I expected that (I recently stayed in the Copenhagen Island Hotel) everything would be organized better in terms of accommodation. Here I could not find where to keep wet towels, f.ex. The possibility to sleep with the window opened during the night occured to be a nightmare because of crowds of mosquitoes :o((. Optional sex toys in the room which lowered the tone of a very high class hotel. nothing. The spa facilities is not really how it is showen in the photos. Although it is acceptable. Spa center is poor indeed a bit slow service at the front desk Absence of smoking rooms No free parking. I have made the payment even before the stay in full but they have decided to put a hold on 700EURO's from my credit card once I get to the hotel and even after 5 days it is still on hold, simply ridiculous... -Expensive minibar -When the restaurant was a little bit busy the staff forgot us several times and the waiting time for food and service was way too long. Taxis took 45 mins to arrive but that's not the hotels fault. smell coming from the drains room 665 at one point i did call down to ask if this is normal for a room to smell like this it was terrible i was not feeling well so i really could not move as i was leaving the next day im a maintenance manager working in hotels for the last 24yrs and i know that the drains need attention. this was the only thing that spoilt my stay. Had trouble with the whirlpool leaking onto the bathroom floor...but this was the only negative thing about the hotel. Valet parking for €37,00 is an absolute ripoff, public parking only with a chip card available through banks (no coins, no credit card accepted) so not much choice on a weekend. What's not to like?. Nothing. None. no real concerns or dislikes. norhing. breakfast not included, a little expensive. Restaurant for evening meal, but breakfast was superb !. Parts of the outside of the hotel are not finished but when it is completed it will be excellent. No late check out Parking. The secondary services are very expensive! Breakfast, spa etc....
