I travelled to this hotel in a group of two boys and two girls all in early 20's for a festival called Beatloverz which was a 5-6 minute walk down the road. The hotel was very clean with spacious rooms which had on-suites and kitchen facilities. Breakfast is 15 euros extra but with the kitchen facilities was more then easy to make your own breakfast. The staff were very friendly, polite and very helpful. The check in was very quick and simple with no problems. All in all was a very good hotel .
all reviews » Where to start..... rooms are spacious, clean and individual. Has a large kitchen with microwave, fridge and utensils to almost self cater if you wish. Large bathroom with a proper sized bath. Comfortable bed and sofa. my advice is to take a high floor if you can as the views across Rotterdam at night are quite stunning. All the staff spoke English very well and were only too pleased to help with anything. The food is also top notch. Kitchenette as part of the room on the 10th floor with views over the old harbour and factories. The hotel appears to be 3 hotels in one (best western, zuidplein and art hotel) just on different floors. Food was great, we arrived late and had the recommended special which was super and breakfast was plentiful. Good Job!. Kitchenette enabled self catering which suited us as we got back too late for the diningroom some nights. The food at dinner was very good. Metro station beside hotel. I liked the kitchen area in the rooms, very handy to have a fridge and kettle. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly. Great location next to Maashaven rail station, eclectic decorations, nice hotel, good free WiFi. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were affordable, neat and comfortable. Reception person good and client oriented. Novel decor, food, kitchenette, WiFi. Waitress were very efficient. Location. all. They were very helpful when my bicycle lock jammed me to the hotel gate and wouldn't open. Decor was brilliant and quirky. Personal. Cheap, good location. The only thing we didn't like was the parking, it was a bit hard to find and wasn't very many spaces. Can be a little noisy from road noise and the metro, but it was only really audible when the tv was off and I was being quiet. Cost of breakfast was high so we didnt have it. I like a bath which I missed. Apart from that minor detail everything was good. Not much, limited TV stations. departure desk. Was more bureaucratic in dealing with client. The location is fine as a base rather than as a destination. None. nothing. Dining room a bit gloomy and situation. Was told parking was included and was charged 30 euros for two nights. Bathroom smelled like old urine. Piece of plastic bag under table was there when I arrived and still when I left. Were several piles of dust on electrical outlet and other places that showed a lack of cleaning. Parking: entering and leaving: logistics poorly, time wasting while one has to wait for someone to open the gate. Dirty, old, creepy. 3 things. 1. after booking online, i contacted the hotel 3 times trying to book a parking place, they never responded me. I had to call the hotel myself to make sure. 2. it took us 20 minutes to check in with only 1 person in front of the line. the staff at the front desk was simply horribly inefficient. 3. the hotel is really old with smelly beddings. even though the sheet was clean, the smell came from the inside....very unpleasant night.
