4* star Hotels near Luterse kerk Amsterdam

The fact that it is so close to the main train station and near the most exiting area of Amsterdam, as well as the fact that my staying in the hotel provided me much comfort. - Anonymous

Although check in was not until 3pm, I arrived after a long flight at 10.00am. The receptionist, I'm sorry, but I dont know his name, he always smiles and seems to be always there,asked me to make myself comfortable in the lobby whilst he sorted something out. True to his word, within 15 minutes he had sorted a room for me and 10 minutes on I was fast asleep...Thank you! - Nigel

I was so much impressed by the staff' in the hostel's best communicationskills and kindness from the bar, restaurant and room services.Definitely if I go back to Amsterdam, I will stay in Die Port Cleve. The staff were probably the most helpful I have come across in 30 years of travelling the world. They even tracked us down by phone to tell us that a museum we thought closed at 9 was to close at 7. The decor of the hotel is great and although like all canal side town houses the rooms are small, they were well laid out and of a high quality. I have no hesitation in telling people to stay there. - Michael

the hotel was clean comfortable, and offered complimentary hot beverages such as coffe and tea with cookies, which mad tea time in the beautiful lobby enjoyable, staff was attentive and willing to help with directions maps and reservations, pass on breakfast at the hotel (not worth the 16 euro) and head to the broodie shop a few steps away! excellent breakfast/lunch options for as little as 4... - Susan

Very old world and full of personality. Staff was fantastic and very helpful. Food is wonderful, not run of the mill hotel menu. Hotel is on quiet canal, although right downtown. Easy to walk around to get anywhere. - Dr.
