  Location. Bed was great. Very spacious room. Great sofa. Great place for breakfast across the canal from the hotel called Royal Bagels & Muffins (better price than hotel breakfast!!) - It felt like you were in a beautiful home rather than a hotel.   We loved the fact that the room was absolutely silent and bliss for a good nights sleep. The large size cosmetics were terrific as it meant we could enjoy a proper bath without running out of bath foam! The mini one day bottles of bath/shower gel that most hotels provide barely provide enough for a quick shower so we loved the fact that Canal Hous... what people say » e had considered this. The breakfast room is very grand and overlooks the manicured rear garden. Staff are extremely polite and will go out of their w - All of the staff were gracious and solicitous. Our room, though without a canal or garden view, was beautifully designed and exceptionally quiet. One of the reasons we chose Canal House was the garden which exceeded our expectations as a comfortable and beautiful place to chill out, read and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif. As I needed to rest my foot one day, it was a particularly welcome amenity.
