Our quiet and pleasant Hotel Het Witte Huis is situated in one of Bergen's many lovely lanes, approximately 5 km from the beach. It features comfortable accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Each of the spacious guest rooms has its own bathroom, flat-screen TV, a work desk, telephone and a safe (optional & at a surcharge). The rooms are divided over a main building and several out buildings. When weather allows, guests can enjoy a drink at the sun terrace. There is also an outdoor fireplace for long nights or colder days. Bergen is set in a forest area, offering many hiking and cycling trails. Alkmaar is only 15 minutes away by car, offering culture, shops and many bars.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Perfect location to thecharming village of Bergen. beautiful location - part of town, nice staff...Our room was tiny and we didn't know it from booking.com ad. If we hadknown it we might've stayed in another place. However, I know this is anold building Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel. We woulddefinitely stay there again.

Bergen and its surroundings have something to offer for everybody. There are pleasant outdoor cafés, good shopping, sport facilities, public gardens, and of course the lovely scenery. There are many beautiful and peaceful spots in the dunes and in the polders which can only be reached on foot or by bicycle. Bergen is also conveniently situated for visits, for example, to Alkmaar famous for its cheese market or Amsterdam, both within easy reach by public transport. Den Helder and its surrounding area are also worth a visit Highlights in Bergen are festivals such as 'Illumination Night' in August and the 'Jazz and Sail' weekend in September. There are many other events worth visiting during the summer including the weekly artistic evening markets and several concerts, not least the Holland Music Sessions. As you see Bergen offers you many attractions for a memorable and enjoyable stay
