The accommodation at Apartment Rijksmuseum exceeded all expectations. Not only was the apartment very clean, it was also spacious and ideally situated. The only confusion was who to buzz when we arrived, but we quickly figured it out (there's an art gallery below where the owners reside). The owners were very welcoming and helpful during our stay.... what people say » I would highly recommend anyone to stay here - it's much more of a home away from home that any hotel. Nothing but positive things to say. -
An absolute delight. The hosts Wies and Joop were warm and hospitable offering assistance about access to interesting parts of the city and welcoming into their home. The apartment is spacious, full of natural light, with excellent views of the Rijksmuseum and is close to great restaurants and public transport. We could have moved in permanently!!!!!!

This apartment was in a perfect position and had absolutely everything
we required for a home in Amsterdam for one week. The bed was superb…the
best we've had in Europe and the facilities in the apartment lacked
nothing. The service also prompt and excellent. We can not recommend
this place more highly and will certainly return. Thank you so much for
a wonderful week.

The staff were probably the most helpful I have come across in 30 years of travelling the world. They even tracked us down by phone to tell us that a museum we thought closed at 9 was to close at 7. Our room was pretty small, but to be expected from a city centre hotel, especially in Amsterdam, however it was immaculately presented, beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable we nearly didn't make it up in the morning. The staff were wonderful, and we will be going back.
