Everything was just perfect! Despite being located near the central station and in the middle of the city the hotel was very quiet. We have travelled to a lot of cities in Europe and have never stayed at a hotel as clean and nice as this! It was very cosy and the beds were very comfortable, which is a big plus. Our room overlooked the canal and was spotless, comfortable and very relaxing. The bathroom was compact and very well designed. We were within easy reach of of the station and busstops, bike hire and eating places. Breakfast was great and Christian made the most lovely scrambled eggs. I was fine with them but if you have mobility issues the stairs are narrow and steep. Would be nice to have a (communal) lounge/sitting area to have a cuppa after a long day. Everything was perfect. Extremely steep (but typical) Dutch stairs. Tiny bathroom. The stairs are really steep like in many houses in Amsterdam, so for elderly or small childrean not optimal. The stairs were steep but we were aware of this and it did not cause us a problem. The room was a bit on the small side but that is probably normal in Amsterdam. Honestly I was expecting more for the price ... details like an iPod dock, stocked mini-bar, or detachable shower head would have made it a better value. Nothing. All guests have breakfast around the same table. A bit awkward)) nice location but we had no view from our room) The shower was clean but its type was inconvenient. nothing. Nothing. - a little bit far from the center - just 1 shower gel for 2 person for 2 days was not enough. Small shower/toilet room. Also did know the room did not have a canal view.
