Lovely little place in a great location, a short walk into city centre. I knew I would have to park motorcycle on street, but found a convenient place almost outside hotel. Being on holiday, I missed the e-mail sent from the hotel enquiring on our arrival time, short wait for the door to be opened. Our room and bathroom were lovely. Gijs spoke perfect English and looked after us well. Gijs was an excellent host. He helped us before arrival and during the stay. We loved the character of the house (we stayed in the loft room). It was very close to everything in Amsterdam. Rather than feeling like a tourist staying in a hotel, we felt like we are staying in our own house. Perfect value for money! Amazing breakfast.

The host Gijs is a delightful young man and gave us good information on where to go. The b & b is a remodeled canal house built in the 1600's right at the start of 7 bridges. The breakfast was good, the bedroom and bathroom ver very clean and the bed very comfortable!. Very personal service, attentive, eye for detail fresh flowers in public areas room with more than 1 view on a Adam main canal the way how it was all done, more care as in most hotels. The owner, room, clean, location, tidy, decoration and furniture, transportation, canals, toilets, friendly atmosphere, low number of rooms it feels like a house, breakfast. Friendly, welcoming, nice homely room. EVERYTHING. Amsterdam was very warm and there was no air conditioning, but open windows helped, otherwise it was perfect. The bedroom doesn't have a very good place to hang any clothes. It was very warm the first two nights so because we had to keep the windows open it was a bit noisy. to leave the place. - No elevator - In order to get to the loft one has to ascend 3 floors of extremly steep circular stairs - Loft is NOT SUITABLE for young kids or babies - Danger of falling. Narrow stairway. Room is up steep stairs and on second floor. Has bathroom and toilet across the landing so you have to leave the bedroom to get there!. tea and coffee were served cup wise soap and shampoo should be in new bottles. i couldn figure out the tv, but it was so late, i just slept. The stairs are a bit steep. Have to get out of the room to enter the bathroom or toilet. I left too early to enjoy breakfast... nothing. Costly for a 2 room B&B similar rate to 4 star hotel. Amsterdam always raises prices during business conventions at RAI. Parking the car was a bit of a drag.
