We stayed two days at this hotel before joining a tour staying at the hotel. On the day we were to join the tour, we were advised we had no choice but to change rooms. We ended up with a comparable room, and people we met on the tour were now staying in the original room we had. It was annoying because it wasted our time and inconvenienced us. Not dreadful, but annoying!. I did not like the deposit they made from my credit card and the fact that after the check out they have forgot to debloc the deposit sum.Fitness consists of three machines. The hotel is too far from town, although about a 13 min walk from the train station.only one tips need a smocker room specially in winter. I did not like the fact that items were charged to my bill and then deducted once I could prove that I didn't use/purchase them. Leave plenty of time to check out - it takes a while!. The location is not that good. I have to travel a long way from the Central Station to the hotel. Besides, there is no shops and restaurants within 10 minutes of walking distance from the hotel. I think the solarium would be used much more if it were a bit cheaper.A little bit worn-out...not too stylish. you have to pay for using the paking place of the hotel €20-/night my idea parking place has to be free (but that is just my idea). The rooms where to hot. The minibar system. If you look into the bar and you pick up somethingbut finally lay it back and don't consume, you have to pay it any way. Quite far from city center. You have to take the Sneltram. Tried to charge us for breakfast though it was included in the price of room. Had to take a print out of our booking confirmation n show them. This wasted our time! Though we booked for 2 nights their system showed only one night but this did not cause any inconvenience because rooms were available. So anyone planning on staying there, pls take a copy of your confirmation details.Room not very clean. There was dust under the armchair and it remained there all time long we stayed at the hotel. We had tea facilities and I made myself a cup of herbal-tea (camomille). The following day they were supposed to replace the missing tea-bags but instead they took off everything and left only a couple of sugar bags (probably staff enjoyed a tea-break instead of cleaning around)!. When we asked for milk they told us they were all out. So we went down stairs and asked the restaurant which had plenty. Not very good customer service.I would never say that this hotel has 4 stars. I would give it 2 max. The room was dirty, especially the bath and bedding. The building is old and the price is at least two times to expensive than it should be. The Mercure is a good brand, it's a pitty that the level of services aren't the same at all Mercure Hotels. too far from transit points, no bicycles for rent, too expensive considering distance from center.
