This hotel is located at the very interesting good place at the Princ-canal. There was very nice view from the window to the canal, boats etc.The location is excellent, the walking distance from the center. It was nice to walk to the Dam- ca 15-20 minutes. Spotless room, quiet and comfortable (#18, in the basement). We reallyliked the itc -- extremely convenient right next to tram line and stopand go van in a beautiful part of the city.

The negative reviews seem to be from complaining, whining travellers only and not genuine.... the room clean stuff , they are very good.staff are friendly and helpful. well when we got there they put us in a building across the road and it was awfull, we ask them if we could change room and they put us in a room in the ITC building and the room was fantastic, then every thing was great.we had to pay only 20 euro more for a huge improvment. The hotel was dreadful,very poor condition and promised facilities did not exist, The description on site was a pure fabrication and I would never book through your compaqny again, I felt I had been conned. Very steep stairs - due to the way the building was historically built. The hotel building is typical of the types on building in Central Amsterdam. Not easy to climb upstairs or downstairs with a suitcase!. the rooms downstairs have very small windows/no view, double beds are actually two single beds that drift apart. also some bodies in respetion , they are very frindly , but not all. a little far walk to gay area as we expect this is gay hotel but hotel is quiet enough to stay. The first room they put us in. No elevator and stairs is too narrow and steep, not recommended if you have big and heavy luggage. Breakfast starts only at 9am which is quite late. uncomfortable bed. tiny room. For just under 8 Euros you can get an amazing breakfast at the patisserie over the road on Uttrectstraat. This is lots better than the hotel's breakfast. Maybe the hotel could sell vouchers for this rather than prepare their own breakfast?. To renew the covering of the walls. A lot of noise from the upstairs rooms (a lot of young people partyingin their room), which is annoying when you are trying to sleep. A rat inthe wall: event though you are in Amsterdam and bellow sea level, thisis still disgusting.It is supposed to be a 3 star hotel, but room facilities are too limited and small. They say they have Wi-Fi internet in the hotel and rooms but it works only in lobby. It is not possible to call other rooms. To get breakfast you have to reserve it one day before. It is like a military service and we left one day earlier. noise troughout the night. During our first night, the shower flooded the room. Hotel staff we're told about the problem and cleaned it up for us. On check out we were told that there was no flood, and that everything in our room worked perfectly so we had no reason to complain. The mattress was old and very thin. The wooden slats were broken and creaked at every movement, I could hear the same from the room next door throughout the evening. I was unaware about the shared bathroom until my arrival. I do not believe the high price I paid for a single bed with no bathroom was acceptable.Walls paper thin, could hear everything from all my neighbours.Toilet/shower/bedroom I.E. no bathroom. room size. every time I came back to my room it stank like cleaners (room service) were smoking there! I also didn' t like broken wardrobe as I couln' t hang up my clothes!. Works at 5.00 am, meaning a lot of noices, although ITC might not be responsible...Room facilities are too limited and small. The rooms downstairs have very small windows/no view (mine was on a wall very close) ,the Wi-Fi internet in the hotel works only in lobby. They don't change the towels. None of the fascilities in this hotel could justify its high pricing. Very low standard . It was disgusting. Pay ten euros more but avoid this hotel. Single roomsare less than 1 meter for 2 meters - no window - and a toilet where issuppose to be the wardrobe - avoid - avoid. there was nothing to like about the hotel, basic furniture in rooms did not exist or were in soiled and poor condition. it was gubby, grossly overpriced and further away from city centre than expected. The picture on the website only showed one building but hotel has more than one building and the one we stayed in was very run down. Stairs in general are steep in Holland but these stairs were dangerous, I banged my head carrying bag up to my room as the gap between the ceiling and top of the stairs was tight. I'm 5ft!!.
