the hotel was clean comfortable, and offered complimentary hot beverages such as coffe and tea with cookies, which mad tea time in the beautiful lobby enjoyable, staff was attentive and willing to help with directions maps and reservations, pass on breakfast at the hotel (not worth the 16 euro) and head to the broodie shop a few steps away! excellent breakfast/lunch options for as little as 4... - Susan

The room was comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated and the bathroom facilities modern.The Estherea's old European charm, its central location and the excellent public transport close by was ideal for my purpose in Amsterdam. This hotel was the best I have ever stayed at for the price. The room was absolutely wonderful, the staff friendlyand helpful and went out of their way to get our room ready at 10.30 in the morning even though we just asked to leave our case. The complimentary drinks and cakes in the reception area were much appreciated after a day's sightseeing. We enjoyed every moment in the hotel. - Jennifer

I have visited Amsterdam on many occasions, the rooms are usually expensive, very small and of a poor quality. This cannot be said of the Estherea, the rooms are immaculate and staff are genuinely very friendly. My only complaint was that the bed was too comfortable, and I struggled to get out of it. my wife and i stayed in this hotel in February, which was very cold. the first things we noticed when we first walked in was the gorgeous aroma of fresh bulbs, the warmth, and the friendly staff at reception. the entire hotel was spotless, neat and tidy. our room was ample in size and well decorated, the bathroom well suited for two guests. - Wilson

Location was excellent. I have stayed in many Amsterdam hotels and this is one of the best. There was a small problem with our room (extractor fan did not turn off) and the receptionist offered me another room immediately. The beds were extremely comfortable and free tea/coffee/chocolate was available next to the bar. Highly recommended. - Paul

It was very evident that the owners and the staff valued the hotel and its service to guests. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was ideal, being within walking distance of all the major attractions, but also being in a quiet section of Singel. We would certainly stay here again. - Nicola

The room was huge, beautifully decorated with lovely linens, towels and toiletries. Lobby was elegant with spacious facilities. First class courteous staff. I would love to return to this hotel. After the closet we slept in (Copenhagen) for 3 nights, we thought we were in a palace. - Patricia
