very central and easy to find, staff were friendly and helpful, food next door was beautiful, room was clean but basic. I have stayed in Amsterdam a few times and I would definately stay there again.

i slept in the basement room and i loved it

the hotel was surprisingly very clean and new towels supplied daily. location is also ideally close to most sites in amsterdam and walking distance to central train station.

some guests became very noisy 1 evening and there was no security to quiet them down.

good location in the center of Amsterdam, walking 2 min. from central station, not expensive. Free wifi, which worked!

I like rooms with outside windows a bit more :-)

location was brilliant, you couldn't get much closer to all the action, but as hotel was down an small side street it was still quite.

Location which is easily accessible to tourist spots. The breakfast was good value for money.

The rooms were clean.

The reception area is somewhat grotty and uninviting. The stairs doesn't feel safe underfoot and the stairwell isn't clean. On Tuesday, June 03, 2008 the rooms were twice the price as what they were the previous night. I wonder why this was the case....

good price, and very good placement

For a breakfast it is necessary to go to the outdoor cafe.That is not so convenient.

the fact that breakfast was included and you get 10% off things you buy at the irish pub next door! :-) Suitable for all ages too.

Awesome room overlooking canal and old church. Aussie receptionist,Sarah, was awesome.

It was not on a street that allowed us to park outside to unloadbaggage from car.

The staff are very nice and helpful.The hotel is in the good location,along the canal,5minutes walk from the many train station,less than5 minutes walk from the red lights distract.

The room was too nosiy,the wall was to thin.The cleaning could be better.

room was not clean enough, ie grubby marks on walls and floors not properly swept/mopped. the 'window' in the room was behing a cupboard and did not open, and looked into a service shaft.

poor breakfast, heavy smell at corridors and bath, noisy, not safe

The toilet was dirty. The bedding was marked. We did not stay for the second night booked.
