The fact that it is so close to the main train station and near the most exiting area of Amsterdam, as well as the fact that my staying in the hotel provided me much comfort. chilling at the bar. Going for a swim. That there was secure parking. The staff were excellent in helping us when our passports were stolen, when we were out site seeing.Great location. The hotel is kind enough to upgrade my room to honeymoonsuite, a pleasant surprise!.

Fax in room needed ink cartridge replaced and even though we were there 4 nights it never happened!!. The decor was dated and a little shabby in our room. We did not eat breakfast on any of the 6 mornings we stayed there on a point of principle due to the cost, although this would have been more convenient. I cannot understand why they charge this amount. That said, there are so many cafes locally that we used instead.Some times it was difficult to find a Taxi. everything was good ,the only problem was the sound of passing trams that could be heard from the room. very dry air in the room plus non-openable windows. 330€ a night is extortion. The noise from the street. All extra services were very expensive as in other similar hotels in Amsterdam.view from the rooms were minimal and did not let much natural light in for working in the room. The Hotel is nice and with excellent staff, but The club room was toosmall, with very small bath, it's even smaller than any regular room atany other hotel I have ever seen... They even let me wonder how theirregular rooms will looks like ??????!. I would prefer a larger room with a window to the street. The staff was not that polite. Somewhat poor value for money. In general, the hotel is ok, but nothing special.Price of rooms, Price of Food, Price of Drink. change in smoking policy. The staff at the front desk were polite but not realy friendly. The price is too high. Please use now towels. bad service, overpriced. Unfriendly staff! No previous note about the automatic minibar system. Please be aware that you need ask for another refrigirator if you want to put some things you bought like cheese, etc. Room was OK but not very clean. Especially the bathroom was very very poor and unclean. Ugly, old and unclean carpets.

From all directions please follow the signs Amsterdam and then Ring A10.
Take exit S116 (direction "centrum").
Turn left at the traffic lights, follow the signs "centrum".
After approximately 5 kilometers, you pass through the IJ-tunnel. Bear right at the end of the tunnel.
You are now on the "Prins Hendrikkade" - follow this road.
After approximately 1,5 kilometers (5 traffic lights), the Central Station is on your right handside and Victoria Hotel on your left hand side.
Take the first left, onto the "Martelaarsgracht".
Turn left again, onto the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
