It feels like being at home, while being away. The staff (the owner) is very helpful and you get practically individual attention from him. Whenever you need anything, he is there. It is also sweet to have access to the kitchen at all hours of the day and night. Rooms are also kept in top shape. Bed very comfortable. Frank Nolen was outstanding host. His facility was clean organized and warm atmosphere. We loved all the choices of food that he had available for my daughter and myself 24/7 in his kitchen. This was superior lodging in terms of size of room, amenities available, price, and hospitality. Mr. Nolen provided exceptional information about local sights that greatly improved our visit. Frank made us feel at home,the room was a good size and clean and also a comfortable bed.Very clean throughout,nice and quiet. Top marks excellent!!!!. high level of hospitality; location is excellent; the principal's tips for restaurants, points of interest, etc. are great!. west violet is well situated and also paceful. if i had the chance to go back to amsterdam i'd surely return to this hotel. The location (no tourists) and freedom of staying in a smaller place felt like a home away from home. The owner was so friendly and helpful also it was perfectly placed for getting around the city.Quiet neighbourhood, but nevertheless very central. Very large room. B&B WestViolet has 2 well appointed rooms, each with their own character. The rooms have:
* A stylish bathroom en suite

* Excellent quality beds
* A guest computer is available for use in the kitchen area.
A fully equipped kitchen is available for guests (24-hour self service).
An unlimited supply of food and drinks (such as different kinds of breads, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, muesli, crackers, eggs, cheese & bacon, jam, juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate) are provided for you and are included in the price.
As we do not have a reception we have to know your time of arrival in advance!
Travelling information
From Schiphol airport it is about 18 km to the centre of Amsterdam. A taxi will charge you about € 35,- to get to Violettenstraat 4.
The train will take you in less than 20 minutes from Schiphol airport station to Amsterdam Central Station. From there you can easily take a tram to our B&B.
Taking the tram from Central Station: from the front of the Central Station, take trams 13, 14 or 17 and get off at the stop Anne Franks House/ Westermarkt (only 4 stops).
Follow the Prinsengracht (the main canal to the right, behind the church) and cross the second bridge on your left. Go straight ahead into the Anjelierstraat and take the first street on your right. This is the Violettenstraat.
