I stayed at apollo hotel for a night in December. I was offered freeupgrade of my room which was great on the part of the hotel staff. Thelocation is amazing with Hard rock cafe the next door andLeidsplein(loads of cafe, restaurants, great atmosphere in the evening)2 minutes walk way. Vary easily accessible by tram from the centralstation. The breakfast was fantastic as well. Great experience.
all reviews » I stayed in this hotel 3 years ago, and last week. The rooms are renovated and I had double room even had a reservation for single. Hotel staff is great- I could check out at noon instead of 11. You can't find better 3 stars hotel for such money and location in Amsterdam. The friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff. The modern,comfortable and well equipped room. The location-in a quiet area (away from the noise of the busier areas of Amsterdam) but not too far from bars/restaurants/shops etc-just a small walk. The fire alarm was accidentally on during the night.renovate the old rooms. The room was a bit smaller then what we were used to in middle east hotels, but most important was that it was clean. It was a corner room in the building, so maybe the other rooms are more spacious. Bathroom was more spacious then I expected in comparison to the bedroom. The signal on the TV was really bad but we decided to keep watching as it was only for 1 night.room wasn't renovated, but this was the deal!. The room had a mouldy patch on the ceiling in the bathrom and the windowsills were mouldy, however we got one of the unrenovated rooms so wedidnt expect much...Traffic noise on the road and price of Breakfast. there was a bit of noise in the mornings when cleaners were cleaning up. I dont like getting up early. Small rooms, maybe this is the norm for Amsterdam, but the rooms weresmall. Everything very modern and updated though. With wife and babyand all our things it was cramped. Breakfast ok but the eggs werepowdered and only American coffee no cappucino. Ok selection but nofish. Not a big deal though, this is a 3 star hotel and for thatcategory a solid 3 star. The view from the room was not great, but not important. There was a construction platform outside, but it was ok because we hear no sound from it. The hallway smells a bit strance.
