Really lovely room - you really got the impression that they've put effort in the detail of furnishing which is a nice touch. Kitchenette is really nice - including a coffee maker was a nice touch and much appreciated. We have breakfast at the apartment everyday. You could easy produce a proper meal there if you wanted. A Lidl is just across the road. Quiet, rear facing bedroom overlooking the gardens of the local area. Lovely old townhouse building. Very typical of Amsterdam.
all reviews » The staff was lovely. Ferdinand was so sweet. He brought us fresh flowers champers and cookies. The room we stayed was the Dukes suit and there was 3 of us the room was big and the kitchen came supplys. And the room was cleaned daily with bonus of towels in shapes of swans which was very sweet. We all would highly recomend Amstel corner. It is a bit of a bit of a walk from central station or only 3 stops away. Ideal location, providing a very quiet sleep yet only a ten minute walk from the middle of town. Excellent customer service. We stayed in the Dream Room. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen-in-the-cupboard was also a useful addition. We had a really enjoyable stay (3 nights) and would recommend / stay there again. Amazing apartment! The staff were really friendly and willing to help us with anything we wanted! Apartment is in such a good location- 3 tram stops from the main Dam Square and a 5 minute walk to all the museums! Really modern and clean with a little kitchen! Would definitely stay here again as it was perfect for our needs!. Almost about everything. The owner is a man of taste and has kept the apartment in classy condition. Checking in was a breeze. Apartment is located quite close to city centre, restaurants and supermarket. Location - nice and quiet, but very close to the city center Stuff - very friendly and helpful. location is rather good, anyway but you steel have to walk to get to the city center. very nice view from the window of the canal, there is a balcony. the room is large and light. It's an old building so the stairs are narrow and steep. It didn't bother us, but if you're no longer steady on your feet then this might not be the place for you. They're apartments, so someone is not always on site, but that's to be expected. A minor issue, but I would flag up that the staircase is very steep in the building (although this is normal in Amsterdam), which might not be ideal for everybody. Only negative is the stairs are really steep (which is par for the course in Amsterdam) - but the staff helped us with our bags so all was fine!. There is no elevator so be ready to carry your luggage to the apartment. If you are travelling by car it is advisable to park in carpark outside the city or be ready to pay 36 euros per day as parking charge in streets near the apartment. Nothing bad to report. The stairs are steep but the view is worth it. Staircases are objectively steep, but this is common in old houses. Stairways - very steep and could be tricky for young/old/drunk/handicapped people Room size (Play room) - can disappoint some people who like to spend more time indoors. no shelves in the bathroom and hooks for towels. there is no drinking water in the room. no full-length mirrors!.
